In terms of timeline, they haven't been here all that long. All of this has taken surprisingly little time. Fiddleford is still getting his bony feet under him, coming to terms with this being... the real thing. The big one. He was never a deeply religious man but he was just casually Christian enough to be concerned with where he might end up when he died. And after everything he did in life... well, it's a relief that he's here. That this beautiful city of color and sound is where he gets to spend his afterlife. It's vindicating. You did a good job.
