[Now that we've got that out of the way, it seems the participants are free to explore the manor at their leisure. The entire first floor is available to them at all times, and any attempts to maneuver outside or to a different floor will prove useless. Seems you're going to get very familiar with this area over the next week or so.

There may be something there that wasn't there before, namely, a set of rules posted next to the bios. Take heed of them, mortals. If you wish to have a private conversation with your Host, it's now entirely possible.

With all that in mind, exploring sounds like a good idea. Proceed with caution, mortals. There are no safety bars to be lowered here.]

[Mr Cricket has a real nice ring to it. He doesn't quite jump out of his skin, but he's definitely surprised at the voice.]

Oh, sorry, didn't see ya there. [Quick hat lifting in greeting.] Just testing the, uh, walls here, as it were.

I wouldn't tap too hard if I were you. [Unless you want to get your shit wrecked like Ford.] I'm not sure what counts as "attempting to destroy the walls."

Can't be destroyed if I find a crack leading to a secret room, eh?

That's true. I just don't want you to get in trouble. [She pauses, looking around warily.] I don't think the spirits much like us.

Can't say I'm found of them either. I prefer my life to have wishes, not demons.

They're not demons, Mr. Cricket. Spirits are just restless people who have died.

They're still on the nefarious side of the supernatural in my book.

That's fair. These ones aren't very nice, aside from our host maybe. [Even he's kind of neutral-bad.] Do you deal with the supernatural often?

Well, only recently. Fairies, wishes, talking creatures, about what you'd expect from a rousing adventure.

A rousing adventure? Oh, with Pinnochio! [She read the bios, she knows things.] Was he really a wooden boy?

That's right! Brought to life by the great Blue Fairy herself.

Why did she bring him to life? That seems like a strange thing to do.

Oh, well, that's all thanks to Gepetto. Old woodcarving fella, lived alone with his cat and fish for a while. He wished upon the Fairy's star and she was help to help!

Does the Blue Fairy help anyone who wishes on her star, then? She must be very kind.

[That sort of thing would be . . . super convenient right now. That's all she's saying.]

Oh, yeah, makes no difference who you are, she'll give you a good turn. She's the kindest, most beautiful woman in the whole galaxy!

[He super has a huge crush.]

She sounds amazing. I'd love to meet her someday.

[The content of her words doesn't quite match her tone because she sure. She sure imagined a cricket being in a relationship with a fairy. Luckily she was imagining a Tinkerbell sort of fairy. Nobody tell her the Blue Fairy is people-sized.]

When we get the chance, I'll introduce ya. She's much better than this mess.

I think almost anything would be better than this.

Heh, well, you aren't wrong. [He does a few more wall taps, just in case.] Sooner we can get out of here, the better.

. . . Do you think anyone will actually. [She swallows.] Take our host up on his offer?
