[ That was...positively horrible? Ugh. After a few hours, notes are slipped under each person's door. They read, in a neat handwriting: ]

[ You may not know what to expect when they say banquet, but it...really is one, isn't it? Thalia's main dish is cheeseburgers, so there are so many of those, but the table's positively covered in an arrangement of fruit and vegetables and all kinds of bread. Looks like they've gone all out.

What's really the cream of it all, though, are the desserts. Not a lot that's special, but there's a wide collection of cookies and cupcakes, and enough hot chocolate to feed an army. Maybe literally. There is a section that's particularly fancy, and that's the many candy apples, definitely courtesy of Sally. Along with a cute amount of peppermint bark. It seems like the food is unending, too, since there's the delicatible smell of baking cookies and simmering candy from the kitchen. Thalia and Sally are keeping you stocked, don't worry. ]

[And eventually she does come back, bearing a tray with a pot of tea, two cups, cream, sugar, and a few slices of crusty bread with butter and jam.]

It doesn't bother me at all. But I prefer not to be an inconvenience.

I'm being nice. It's not an inconvenience.

She pours them both a cup, and then glances up at him questioningly.]

Cream? Sugar?

Neither. Thank you.

It's Oolong. Don't suppose they have that up among the stars, do they?

Teas exist. Mostly made with floras from different planets. I can't say I've ever had this variety.

I don't imagine you would have, unless you'd visited China. Have...have you ever been to Earth, before this?

I hadn't heard of the planet until my time here.

How strange. In my time...There are five other planets known to us, but none have ever left the Earth to go and see them. Such a thing would be utterly impossible. But you...you can go most anywhere, can't you?

I suppose I can. Travel from planet to planet like that has always seemed somewhat second-nature to me.
