[ That was...positively horrible? Ugh. After a few hours, notes are slipped under each person's door. They read, in a neat handwriting: ]

[ You may not know what to expect when they say banquet, but it...really is one, isn't it? Thalia's main dish is cheeseburgers, so there are so many of those, but the table's positively covered in an arrangement of fruit and vegetables and all kinds of bread. Looks like they've gone all out.

What's really the cream of it all, though, are the desserts. Not a lot that's special, but there's a wide collection of cookies and cupcakes, and enough hot chocolate to feed an army. Maybe literally. There is a section that's particularly fancy, and that's the many candy apples, definitely courtesy of Sally. Along with a cute amount of peppermint bark. It seems like the food is unending, too, since there's the delicatible smell of baking cookies and simmering candy from the kitchen. Thalia and Sally are keeping you stocked, don't worry. ]

I didn't jinx anyone, I'm just pointing out the fact that you can't discount something like an accident murder.

I've gone my whole life without accidentally murdering anybody! I guarantee any killing that happens here is because of the Narrator's lousy motives.

...I just hope the rest of us are better than Preston was.

I think we are, since he made the first move, and no one else has done anything worse than get into fistfights with one another.

[Or tentacle fights. Close enough.]

Fistfights are enough of a starting point, if you ask me. This whole mess is just gonna make tensions even higher if we aren't careful.

Only if you deal with Ursula.

You drive a hard bargain. But I don't think it matters who talks to her, she probably still wouldn't listen.

I think she thinks I'm boring.

[He laughs at little at that.]

But you're probably right.

We haven't really talked much, but after her stunt at the trial I'm not so sure I want to.

[listen, he knows that everyone was under suspicion during that whole fiasco, but he still doesn't appreciate the threat of being plucked.]

...Maybe we should just keep an eye on Ursula and convince everyone else not to fight.

[But you'd make a great pillow, Donald.]

That... might be the easiest option.
