[ That was...positively horrible? Ugh. After a few hours, notes are slipped under each person's door. They read, in a neat handwriting: ]

[ You may not know what to expect when they say banquet, but it...really is one, isn't it? Thalia's main dish is cheeseburgers, so there are so many of those, but the table's positively covered in an arrangement of fruit and vegetables and all kinds of bread. Looks like they've gone all out.

What's really the cream of it all, though, are the desserts. Not a lot that's special, but there's a wide collection of cookies and cupcakes, and enough hot chocolate to feed an army. Maybe literally. There is a section that's particularly fancy, and that's the many candy apples, definitely courtesy of Sally. Along with a cute amount of peppermint bark. It seems like the food is unending, too, since there's the delicatible smell of baking cookies and simmering candy from the kitchen. Thalia and Sally are keeping you stocked, don't worry. ]

It sure did sound like it...but more I think about it, it was because of our abilities, wasn't it? You were trying to steer the conversation.

Eh... Well, it got cleared up well enough. Nothing I was really hiding. [ ...Sort of. ] You know, if you want to know anything, you could just ask. The whole demigod thing is plastered up there on the walls, and if there's something I really can't tell you, as a secret of Artemis, I'll stop the conversation in its tracks.

You're mysterious enough that I don't really assume the sentiment's mutual...but I suppose this is why you don't know how to cook for yourself.

When you usually keep company with an immortal, you tend to guess just how they think. The more logical ones, at least. Lady Artemis is thankfully in that category.

You don't...? Oh, your name sure doesn't sound Western. She's one of the Greek Gods.

Oh, I'm aware of that at least. But alas, I am not personally acquainted with them like you seem to be.

There's no seems about it. Lady Artemis... I've been her lieutenant for nearly three years now. She's gracious, and understanding. If there's a girl who has a calling for the hunt, or who needs her...she just knows. She's...the only god that's really given a damn about me.
