[ That was...positively horrible? Ugh. After a few hours, notes are slipped under each person's door. They read, in a neat handwriting: ]

[ You may not know what to expect when they say banquet, but it...really is one, isn't it? Thalia's main dish is cheeseburgers, so there are so many of those, but the table's positively covered in an arrangement of fruit and vegetables and all kinds of bread. Looks like they've gone all out.

What's really the cream of it all, though, are the desserts. Not a lot that's special, but there's a wide collection of cookies and cupcakes, and enough hot chocolate to feed an army. Maybe literally. There is a section that's particularly fancy, and that's the many candy apples, definitely courtesy of Sally. Along with a cute amount of peppermint bark. It seems like the food is unending, too, since there's the delicatible smell of baking cookies and simmering candy from the kitchen. Thalia and Sally are keeping you stocked, don't worry. ]

...Well, I mean, think about it. If someone has to get away with murder to escape, the easiest choice is to just kill all potential witnesses, isn't it? You can't hold a trial without a jury.

Well, they can try, but I'm not gonna let them. They've got another thing coming if they think they can do that just to change something!

But, I mean, Preston was the worst of the worst. Maybe nobody else will actually try anything.

Maybe...until Mister Narrator decides to give us another stupid promise.

I sure hope nobody’s stupid enough to fall for that again. Do they really think they could get away with anything after what happened this time?

Some people think they can get away with anything. Most'f the people here seem nice enough that they wouldn't even consider it, though...normally. But I've seen what happens when you push some people, and it isn't pretty.

We just have to not believe him, and make sure nobody else does, either.

I think that makes it worse. How are we supposed to trust each other enough to find a way out if we have to worry about who might be driven to kill every week? He’s obviously doing it on purpose, but still.

That's exactly his goal, so we just have to not give in to it! If we stay focused on escaping instead of his stupid incentives, then there's no way he can stop us, right?

I'm with you, but good luck convincing everybody else. You saw what happened at the trial- we can't even keep from picking fights while solving the case of somebody's murder.
