This Used to Be the Life but I Don't Need Another One
[Well Ratigan couldn't care less about what happened, but he really didn't get his fill of partying from the bar and everyone simpering wasn't how he wanted it to go down. Soon after the trial little notes are slipped beneath each door.]
You are cordially invited to a mourning party in the lobby. RVSP ASAP.
[In the lobby Thalia will have moved some tables to the lobby and provide her choice dish of cheeseburgers along with a smattering of bread, fruits, and vegetables. Reyna will have brought along hot chocolate galore.
For those that aren't your thing? Well in honor of the recently departed there's pine tree shaped cookies (Thanks Thalia.) and triangle crackers with cheese (thanks...Ratigan?). And there's a helping of drinks if the bar wasn't enough for you wink wink. Ratigan has every intention of making this a party.]

[To be fair, everybody's a hot mess after that trial. And speaking of the trial-]
You were right. [About Goofy. And about Merlin, but that goes without saying.] I'm not great at picking friends, I guess.

[waves hand] He... He thought he was doing the right thing, right? He didn't know. It wasn't something he'd do any place but here.

But that's the worst part! If he'd just waited for an explanation, he and Merlin would still be here. None of this had to happen, but they both got killed over- over a stupid misunderstanding! [In a way it's almost worse than Preston killing for a purpose. Just knowing that two- three good people died for no reason at all this week.]

It's... [frowns] None of us trust each other. We keep on running around and arguing and yelling at each other-- and then this kind of thing happens, and we just keep doing it until the next time it happens! There's gotta be something...

[He'd seen how suspicious everyone else had been, after the Narrator called for the sudden vote. He was glad, at least, that they were all seemingly in agreement concerning their distrust of him.]
We can't keep pretending he's here to help us. From now on, we ought to just do everything ourselves.
