Week 7

[16 people have died. Only a third of the guests remain alive after less than two months in the hotel. It's hard to believe the murders will ever stop, even after Rod's and possibly Walt's efforts.

Despite all that, this week seems almost strange. Like something is going to happen soon, although you have no idea if it's good or not. Even though you have no idea what's in store this week, it might be best to prepare, at least mentally for any unusual activity.

No new floors or rooms are unlocked this week. Have fun in your last week of the hotel.

8 guests remain.]

[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY]

{Don't forget to look over Endgame details! Everyone who needed to tag has already, so this is just a nice reference at this point!}
darnsitall: I'll see you when I fall asleep (Now wait wait wait for me)

[Today is the first day of the rest of your life, and what better way to start it than with a nice, hearty breakfast? Sally is pretty sure that everyone needs food now more than ever, which is why she's up early preparing tons of food. Everything still looks like what'd you expect from her, but she also seems to be making an effort to do less scary things too.

Sally does her best to appear chipper when anyone shows up.]

Are you feeling okay? Please, help yourself!
tadaishi: (:))

[He'll help himself to some tea, first, and consider Sally's breakfast creations while the water is heating up.]

Not as many eyes this time around.

I thought I'd try something less scary this time. We've had an awful lot of scares recently.
tadaishi: (question)

[personal profile] tadaishi 2017-11-13 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Needs more pancakes.]

Hopefully there won't be any more.

[He'll take one of those egg skeletons and some fruit.]

To answer your question, I'm holding up okay. How about you?

[This week is... quiet. Not that Oswald didn't see the reason, they were down to a quarter of the people that had once been here. Darn villains, always ruining things. It worries Oswald, in ways he's not entirely sure of. Surely no one else would try to murder at this point, but he couldn't shake this feeling of... dread.

Oh yeah, he had to tell everyone he was working with Rod behind all of their backs. The good intentions behind it werent forgotten, but he knew his relationship with some of them would be strained now. That was fine.

To wit, Oswald does his best to keep to his room, keeping to putting a few finishing touches on the Wasteland map he made a few weeks ago. The door is always cracked open, enough that someone would be able to see him. Other then a brief trip to the kitchen to assemble a rather large and intricate sandwich... that's where you should look for him.

...I have been better. I can't stop thinking about Cornelia.

[Owl pancakes? Well this looks less scary than usual!]

Hey, Oswald. Has anyone been giving you a hard time about you-know-what?

[About being a mole for Rod?]
darnsitall: Your mind is playing tricks on you, my dear (Some days I don't know)

[personal profile] darnsitall 2017-11-13 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
[Sally's smile falters a little.]

...Me, too. If I had just gotten there sooner!
darnsitall: Just let me go we'll meet again soon (Now we're torn torn torn apart)

[personal profile] darnsitall 2017-11-13 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm really not sure anymore. You know, I went around the rooms and counted this morning. There's only eight of us still here.

[Today, Sally is cooking fish.

A lot of fish.

Hope you like the smell.

It doesn't appear to be for her fellow guests, either: it's devoid of any spices or seasonings, and she chops it up into pieces before doling it out into several bowls, which she carries up to the pool. By the time she gets there, she's being trailed by Napoleon and Felicia, who each get one serving of fish. The rest of the fish gets tossed into the pool for Flotsam and Jetsam.

Later, she can be found in the lobby sitting on a couch with a cat on either side of her.]
tadaishi: (I can fix this with duct tape)

[It's a lot quieter when the number of people is in the single digits. Tadashi can't say he actually misses Ratigan...but he can't say he especially misses Cornelia, either. At least he didn't actively dislike her, so her death is still sad.

Earlier in the day, he can be found in the dining room by the bios, arranging small 'gifts' in front of each one, with a couple exceptions. Most of them are small things he'd made in the craft room and hadn't had time to put out.

When not in there, he can also be found rifling through the clothing in the coat check, collecting apparently random articles, and then moving to the craft room, where it becomes apparent he's using the clothes to make something.

Late afternoon he stops running around everywhere and can be located hanging out in the spa in one of the hot tubs.]

And we started with 24. Unbelievable.

[Just standing a few feet back, watching. Admittedly, he'd only come out of his room to complain about the fish smell at first, but he'd dropped that complaint as soon as he'd seen where Sally was heading with it.

He almost forgot that Ursula's eels stuck around after... everything. They're still creepy, yeah, but he hopes they're doing alright without her anyways.]

Y'know, if Rod and Oswald really do have a plan to get us out of here, I hope they thought up a plan to take those eels with us, too.

[His vision of them escaping still involves a desperate sprint with guns in their hands, and it's very difficult to carry eels with them in that scenario. He's trying to keep things light, though, even if he's almost certain the few of them that remain will be dead before Friday even rolls around.]

[He jumps a little?? Wow, dude. Don't do that to a guy when he's holding a sandwich.]

Huh? Oh, hey Virgil. [Hmm...] No, no one's giving me a hard time, not since... well the trial. It seems like we're all burned out from it.

Room

[personal profile] theduck 2017-11-13 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
[Quite frankly, Donald didn't have any intention of leaving his room for the majority of the week. He managed to depression nap through almost all of Sunday, which was all fine and well, but he feels slightly more obligated to actually get up and do things on Monday.

First is complain about the fish smell from Sally's cooking. But after that whole ordeal, he finally sucks up his pride enough to admit that, yes, he's actually feeling guilty over something and he should probably do something about that. Like have a reasonable conversation.

By 'reasonable conversation', he of course means just poking his head through the door to Oswald's room and rambling until he gets an apology out--]

Hey! Map looks great! Two thumbs up. Keep up the great work. Remember to drink plenty of water! And sorry I accused you of backstabbing us at the trial the other day. Uh, yep. Have fun.

[--and then retreating and hopefully booking it back down the hallway. It's fine! This is how emotionally competent people handle their problems, he's sure.]

At least we caught Ratigan. It was thanks to you and Marnie, I know I'd have never thought smelling that bottle.

darnsitall: (Cause though the truth may vary)

[personal profile] darnsitall 2017-11-13 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[Shhhh]

I guess that means the Narrator's benefactors are getting what they wanted after all. We aren't... bad people. Well, except for Mister Northwest. And Ursula. And Ratigan. We just have rotten luck.

[Extremely rotten luck.]

Good. [Virgil sighs] I dunno why you chose to help that guy, or what you talked with him, but I'm pretty sure you didn't have any bad intentions. You don't seem to me like that kinda guy.

So if anyone bothers you about that, uh, you can tell me and I can talk with them.

[Of course he means a talk. But yeah, Ratigan is dead, so it's not like someone's bound to be openly antagonistic to Oswald]

she peeks into the kitchen.]

[personal profile] theduck 2017-11-13 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
[Hm.

Donald spends far too long standing a few feet away from the door, looking between it and the footprints over and over again until he remembers Rod's warning about escaping being dangerous. He definitely doesn't have a gun (aside from the one that makes mustaches appear on everything-- thanks for that, Sally), and he's pretty sure someone would've bothered to tell him if they were actually escaping.

So he's going to take his chances with those footprints, instead. Besides, they lead to the kitchen, and there's knives in the kitchen. He's pretty confident he can win in a knife fight. Or at least hold off dying for several seconds, which is pretty good at this point. He'll take it.

Though he is still trying to be careful. So he's just gonna peek his head around the doorway rather than just bursting in.]

[It's in moments like these when Virgil wishes he still had powers. Going to check something as suspicious as this would be easier if he knew he could defend himself.

That and...Ratigan's trap kind of makes one paranoid, you know?

Still, he's going with Marnie and Donald to check what's going on]
