MOCK TRIAL EPI-LOG
[There's a bit of chaos at the moment, with Rod and Bill at each other's throats and the execution interrupted. Suddenly, however, it's no longer there. None of it.
Darkness surrounds you for a moment, covering your field of vision. However, slowly, light appears. A mechanical mouse ear-shaped helmet raises from your head, and you become aware of your surroundings. You find yourself awake awakening in a theater, lapbars pulled over your bodies, all of you, including Gwen, Scrooge and the four who weren't part of the game.
The only one who isn't restrained is a mustachioed man in a gray suit, who appears to be fiddling with a control panel that slowly makes the lapbars lift upwards.]
What...is going on here?

What happens when we let people like him unattended, apparently.

Bill, I appreciate the technology you've contributed, but not enough to keep you onboard after this. You're fired.

[Referring to the mustached man.] Who in the heck are you? Are we allowed to go home, now?
no subject
Yes, you’re free to go.

[He seems to have the full intention to leave immediately before he pauses, thinking.]
...Is there anywhere nearby where I grab a bite or two?

[Thor rises, awkwardly because he's dizzy as fuck, pointing at Walt.]
You there! Are you in charge? This is by far the worst thing I've been brainwashed into doing. Can you send us home or are you useless too?

A theme park. A theme park, that's all it was! Annabeth still can't believe it. ]
It hasn't been too long, has it? Do I- where's my phone-- [ She's digging around her pockets, assuming she has it, because- well, it's also such a convenient watch. ]

Eventually though, she takes off the slanted mouse hat someone put on her head and packs it away with the little souvenirs she's picked up over the get-away.]
I think it would be best if I return home soon. [To Annabeth, not to the whole disaster crowd.]

However, this sends her crashing back to reality. Her elation's began to wane, and her smile's a little forced. ]
Right. Yeah, me too. We both have things to get back to. [ ...But, would Virginia be okay...? ]

Life does keep moving, forever onward.
...What a strange situation the past day has been.

[ Because Loki doubts it. All of this happened like a well-oiled machine. The "rescue" came so conveniently as well. ]
