[On Saturday afternoon, Wander tapes 23 identical letters on identical stationary. He would have folded them and slide them under the doors, but the entrance to Fiddleford's room was coated in salt and possibly other condiments that hadn't been cleaned, and ruining his letter in particular would send the wrong message.]

GAME NIGHT TONIGHT

Dear neighbor, you are cordially invited to the game room this evening for a get-to-know-everyone party. There will be games! Food! Drinks! Icebreakers! Games!

I hope that we can all find the time to work together and see each other as friends!

[The game room is less dusty in the evening with the addition of several paper chains hanging on the walls and a table laid out with cards, safety pins, food (chips and dip, Wander's triple pickle cream pie, and a cheese platter), and two pitchers of peach lemonade. Each card has blanks spaces for the participants to fill out: name and favorite food.

There's board games and a spot on the floor for group party games. Wander sets up a game for Spin the Bottle, though everyone is free to set up any game they want.

[Throwing a party is easily one of the best ideas Wendy's heard of around here yet. And she'd be flat-out lying if she wasn't going to at least check it out. Didn't she tell someone they'd have a party after they got out of this mess?

She comes with a bag of chips she found in the kitchen (#helping) and slaps her nametag on, and she's ready to mingle!

Which involves leaning against one of the walls and watching for now, apparently. At least she looks cool.]

[Tip is just holding her own nametag for now, but she did come at least. She's going to join Wendy by the wall.] I can't believe they actually came.

...most of the people, I guess. They seem pretty eager to bond instead of turning on each other. [She still can't believe it's actually working out.]

Lot's of people just want to have a good time, y'know? Besides, some of us have been through worse.

[A sigh at that last part.] I guess you're right. This just reminds me too much of the Boov invasion, you know? At least the abduction part.

Invasion? Boov? [A raised brow.] Oh man, you've already lost me.

...alien invasion. They decided to take over Earth and send everyone in America to a "human reservation" in Arizona. People started drawing new boundary lines pretty quick. [Don't ask her about New Texas.]

[She's momentarily speechless.]

Yeah, that's not exactly what I thought you would say.

I don't know, something that wasn't, "and then everyone got sent to Arizona"?

I mean, they did do the typical "blow up all our monuments" stuff to threaten us into complying first.
