[And so, later after that absolutely lovely end to the trial, the guests of the Murder Manor (tm) will find themselves with an invitation slipped under their doors. The handwriting is godawful but still legible, hopefully. They're not signed by anyone though.

Though, when you actually get there the food is.... definitely not anything you'd ever want to eat. There's chicken in jello, vegetables in jello, cake in jello. Like, nothing is free of jello.

Oh, and the drinks? Among them is a bowl labeled vodka, but it's definitely not vodka. It's actually straight up vinegar, but no one has to know that right? 

Last but not least is an absolutely lovely banner made out of a bed sheet hanging over the door that leads into the area that just says "FUCK YOU" in big letters.

If you wouldn't mind. I know it's been...kind of a long day, so...

I don't...I need to make some more batter.

[He didn't bother to put the ingredients back, so they're kind of strewn over the counter.]

We need, um...two eggs, 236 ml of flour, 120 ml of water, and...all that cabbage there. [There's probably half a head worth of roughly shredded cabbage sitting on a cutting board.] And you just mix them together.

[Brb, he needs to grab another bowl for her, since his isn't quite empty.]

Oh- [ Well, she'll remember that until she can write it down. ] That's not a lot to do. What about the sauce?

Soy sauce, ketchup, sugar, and usutasosu. [He picks up a bottle of worcestershire sauce as he says the last ingredient. Don't make him pronounce it, ]

Those you just mix together until it tastes right.

And- oh, that stuff. ...How do you know when it tastes right if you've never made it before?

If it tastes good to you, it's good. You can buy ready-made sauce, but it's basically those four ingredients, so if you make it yourself, you control what it tastes like. Know what I mean?

Okay, I get you now! Like, there's no right way, it's just...preference.

You know, you're pretty good at explaining this stuff.

Well, it's easier later if I don't have to explain it a second time.

...And it's kinda nice having someone to explain things to. Sometimes.

[There's a slightly awkward pause in which Neku takes the opportunity to scrape up the last of the batter he had left in his bowl and dump it into the skillet to cook.]

Um...what kind of foods do you normally eat? Just...out of curiosity.

Oh, uh... Grilled chicken, salmon...anything that'll give me protein and carbs for training. [ A light grin. ] I'm a gymnast in prep for a big competition, so everything's ordered around that.

[psychopinesis]

Chicken and salmon, I'll remember that.

[Nnoot that he knows how to cook either of those very well. Perhaps he'll ask Rémy for help next time he and the rat end up in the kitchen at the same time.]
