Room 23 (closed to Molly and Mabel) [ After the trial, Basil had been stressed enough to make the brilliant decision that he needed to check up on Ratigan... who had then proceeded to be infuriating enough that Basil stormed out of the funeral gathering early--and then, just as he was getting over the sulk from that, he finally heard the news about the Negaduck vs. Mirror showdown and, well. Long story short, it's not until early Sunday morning that he remembers about pinOCCHIO'S PETS fuckfuckfuck.
Molly and Mabel are left hastily scrawled notes about whether they'd like to take in any of Pinocchio's pets--whoever's first to arrive will catch Basil scurrying around Pinocchio's room, looking for something in increasingly-unlikely locations. (Someone please tell him where Figaro went.) ]
Casino [ Later in the day, Basil can be found near the slot machine with a small collection of items. He seems to have no interest in actually taking any back to his room: the glass has been pieced together enough to be identifiable as a former-shoe, the snow globe's sitting to one side, and he's idly flipping through the book while sorta-nibbling on the dubiously-named "gray stuff".
Are there better ways he could be spending his time? ...Maybe? To be honest, he's not sure what he should do. "Could" and "should" aren't exactly synonyms. ]
