Wait, but why can't he sleep on the ship every night. Have you ever fallen asleep on a boat before? It's lulling.

[Maybe not so lulling when you have a dart from an angry coconut in your butt. Other than that, falling asleep on Moana's boat, back at sea after having been stuck on the island for so long? It was comfortable and comforting.]
