[One week. One week spent in the Haunted Mansion, and nothing seems to have changed. The hinges still creak in doorless chambers, strange and frightening sounds still echo through and you still occasionally catch a flicker of candlelight out of the corner of your eye. You might be slowly becoming familiar with the mundanity of this communal life, and we've recognized that possibility.

He's put off actually reading this thing, and he's still going awful slow on the off-chance he's exposed to something he'd rather not read about, but... but what if Ford wrote about him?]

Maui first tries his hand in the game room today but... It's hard to play chess by yourself, and he really isn't interested in playing with ghosts. Plus having big
sausagefingers makes other games pretty darn difficult. And after getting upset one too many times playing Dip Flip, the board goes flying and Maui sits there, pouting.Later, he can be found in the study, going through the provided reading material. Or rather, opening a book, not finding his name, and tossing it to the side with a loud, sing-song 'boring'. Someone please protect the books.
During the evening hours, after cooking up another heaping plate of chicken, Maui can be found on the endless staircase. He looks like he might be... trying to race it? As if he might be able to go fast enough to beat the system. Really, it just ends up with him being out of breath and punching the walls.]

Sunday morning you can find Mike pacing around the foyer. Does he know he's pacing? No. But he's probably walked by the Bios at least 20 times already, pretty much committing most information to memory out of sheer boredom, not that there's much of it. Then he just walks back and forth along the entire area, seemingly lost in thought for a long dang while. Eventually he'll start walking up the eternity stairs. It's like some weird hamster wheel, in a way. It's fine, just getting some exercise sort of!!
By lunchtime, he's in the kitchen, which is normal enough............aside from the fact that he's made at least, 25 different sandwiches, all different types, all gradually stacking up. And he just keeps going. ANYONE WANT A SNACK? Mike's got you covered.
Then evening comes around, and housemates may hear a thump in the stretching room. And another. And again. It keeps going. If they go investigate, they'll notice Mike hitting the ground, getting a running start, jumping, and then trying to launch himself off the wall. His goal? Looks like he's trying to knock Ghost Host's body from its noose...with a broom. Look, when you don't have your normal weapons, you gotta improvise. He also has a rag tied around his face to help ignore that stench.
Unfortunately the room is PRETTY DANG TALL, so he keeps juuust missing the body. Maybe he knocks off a shoe?? Who knows. In any case, he doesn't seem to be stopping any time soon.

Eventually, someone might notice a paring knife gone. Surely one of the children didn't take it. Don't be stupid.
Except later Anna is in the lounge with quite a few pencils taken from the study as well as her notebook. The notebook is to the side and wide open to some sketches of a girl that definitely isn't in the mansion. She'll be working on that sketch or, more likely, be found using that stolen knife to make sure all of the pencils are nice and sharp.
What, she doesn't have her box knife here. She had to use something--pencil sharpeners are for losers.]

Against his better judgement, he visits the game room a couple times, particularly the slot machine. He shouldn't encourage gambling. Its a filthy habit that leads to all sorts of wrongdoing.
...But it'd be nice to get the edge off. And he wins something everything time! Another badge for his collection, that's a nice one. At one point though, he finds a cockroach waiting for him.]
Well! I'll be darned! Wasn't expecting a more friendly looking face. Oh, better watch your step, lots of spiders about. [It doesn't answer him. It's kind of super rude?
Another slot machine drop grants him a, uh, rather particular item that he feels the need to steal into the Conservatory late, without anyone's prying eyes.
To his credit, all he's done is set a little picnic out of napkin and the pizza he got from the machine. The figurine can't exactly sit, but he's propped her up next to the window. Jiminy himself has got his arm wrapped around her, having done a whole "fake yawn as an excuse" routine earlier.]

Here... it was only a matter of time until all of them have checked out everything the mansion had to offer. So she's getting a little restless now, wandering about with no clear destination in mind. So, for most of the day, Elsa can be found anywhere!
Eventually though she makes her way to the stretching room, which she hasn't been to since she last spoke to Tadashi. She hadn't been paying much attention to the portraits themselves then, or when they first met their host, but now that she looks at them..... wait, hold on...
After she's gotten a good look at one portrait specifically, she makes her way to the game room. She looks distracted, but not too distracted, and takes a seat next to the chessboard. She's not sure if she needs to prompt the ghost she played with the other day into action, but just in case....]

By now, though, she kinda starts to think that maaaaaybe she should be a little more concerned about the whereabouts of her wand. And there's so many secrets and locked doors here, it could be hidden anywhere!
Of course, she doesn't necessarily need her wand to try and unlock these secrets.
Throughout the day, you can find her in the study, being uncharacteristically quiet, sitting cross-legged and staring intently at certain things- a book on a shelf, a drawer in a desk, the roaring fireplace. Sometimes her eyes are closed, like she's meditating. Getting closer will reveal that she's quietly muttering to herself:]

[She also takes another crack at the stairs today. Sometimes she's running up them as fast as she can, other times she's slowly and deliberately taking them one step at a time.]

He'll feel better after breakfast. Early in the morning, Wander is found in the kitchen, either frying eggs or cutting up fruit. A lot of fruit. His hands are a bit jittery, okay? Maybe everyone wants some apples or oranges or honeydew or pomegranates to munch on during the day. And if he's going to cook for everyone, why not prepare some bacon? Non-vegetarians and non-vegans like bacon, right?
There's about ten slices prepared by the time he's had enough. He's not eating any, judging by his plate of fruit, toast, and eggs, but he's staying in the kitchen just in case someone wants more bacon.
Afterwards, he piles the uneaten fruit into 20 bowls and labels them:]

Walking around is good and fine, but it's all aimless. So Naminé finds herself in the gallery at some point, looking absolutely unnerved at those paintings. She gets creeped out pretty quickly, so she hurries out and to the the study, where she spends a lot of time poking through things. Surprisingly, there's quite a lot of material to write and draw on, so she grabs some of that.
It occurs to her that she hasn't really eaten, and she kind of likes food, she's learned! She goes to the kitchen, and spends a looooong time trying to figure out what to eat. Maybe she needs some help... ]

[The Ghost Host appears, holding a box of 25 envelopes in his hands. Each has the name of the competitor on it, as well as a small picture of the competitor in question for the wild men and former henchmen amongst you. He seems displeased as he sets it down on the ground.]
My... [he hesitates.] employer wished for me to issue out a motive today, so as to increase the possibility of a grisly murder later this week. Specifically, they wished for me to reveal and announce your darkest secrets aloud, day-by-day.
That is a form of public humiliation, and something that will not be tolerated within my manor.
I've reached a compromise with my employer. Find enclosed within your marked envelope a secret of your's. My employer has threatened to reveal these should no murder be committed by the end of the week - I shall try to push them towards a more reasonable timeline.
And again, I do apologize.
[He disappears, leaving the box behind.

[After the offering of a motive to the group, Ford has been rather pensive. Dwelling on past mistakes, trying to swallow down his guilt all over again. He's found that books and his own endless stream of questions aren't quite enough to distract him. But gambling? Gambling is a good distraction.
The only thing is, the slot machine doesn't seem to want to give him anything useful. This time around, he's given a ladies' glass shoe, a bottle of questionable-looking champagne, and...]
A chicken?
[Ford grips it by its neck, which doesn't seem to phase the chicken at all, whatsoever. On the contrary, it begins to peck at his fingers, not in a defensive way, but in a "this might be edible" kind of way.]
Who puts livestock in a slot machine? Honestly.
B. Around the House
[Later, Ford makes several copies of the same notice and pins them up at strategic points around the house:

Yes! Now we can keep a record of all the memories we made while trapped inside a haunted mansion! [He hugs the little piece of technology.
Though his joy is redirected with his next prize. Wander isn't too happy to find a weapon in the prize machine, but better that he got it rather than someone else. However, when he picks it up and moves it around, it jiggles around as if it were fake.
And then it starts singing.
Wander stares at it in awe.]
Everyone! You gotta check this out! [He runs out of the room to show Sword Sinatra at the first person that approaches.
Once that is settled, he prepares for the usual "is this yours?" post-machine round. First, he returns to his room to drop off the fruit and to change his outfit. A few days ago, Sylvia gave him a dress she got from the machine, and with yesterday's development, Wander could use an extra energy boost. The pink dress is fit for a princess, both on the bed and in the mirror when he tries it on.]
Nice.
[Still wearing it, he stuffs his things into his green hat and heads to the conservatory to arrange them on the couch with a note written on stationary along with decorative flowers and scribbles:]

[For about half an hour, Wander sits by the couch, mostly inspecting the bowler hat and the ticking clock. And then he's bored. Thankfully, he got his smartphone back, so now he's moved onto taking selfies of himself in the dress, with and without the bowler hat. The graveyard background is sometimes there for #aesthetic.]
