WEEK 2
[One week. One week spent in the Haunted Mansion, and nothing seems to have changed. The hinges still creak in doorless chambers, strange and frightening sounds still echo through and you still occasionally catch a flicker of candlelight out of the corner of your eye. You might be slowly becoming familiar with the mundanity of this communal life, and we've recognized that possibility.
Something has to give.]
[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY]
{ooc: Don't forget to turn in your week 1/intro AC! As per murdergame tradition, this begins our new weekly schedule - Tuesday and onwards are locked for the motive. Everybody's just working for the weekend.
Additionally, a few people this week are going to get tagged by...something. If you'd like to opt out of this, please let us know.}

But he's always got a smile for her.]
Oh, Namine! It's just.. something I made to try to help bring everybody's spirits up. It's sweet, try one!
[There's two kinds of ring-shaped ones, the thinner apple and the thicker peach (because it's hard to thinly slice a peach ok), as well as the little triangular strawberry slices.]

[ She can't help but return the smile as she picks up one of the peach fritters. She takes a bite, and immediately, her eyes widen in delight.
She chews and swallows before talking, and she can't stop smiling. ]
Oh, they're delicious! I like them a lot!
no subject
Good, I'm glad!
[There is definitely plenty for everyone.]
It's a recipe my maman taught me. I haven't had the chance to make them in a long time.

[ She finishes her first one, then asks a little sheepishly, ]
Is it okay if I have another?
no subject
[He's going to flop into a chair.]
Whew, cooking was a lot more work than I remembered.
no subject
Here... after all that hard work, I think you should have something cool to drink.
[ She sits next to him with her plate. ]
But I'm sure everyone will appreciate them.
no subject
I hope so. I wouldn't mind doing this regularly, if it's...something that people want.
[He takes a drink and then stares at the water for a minute as if he's deciding whether to continue.]
I've been thinking a lot about maybe why I'm... here. That thing you read for me, it said that the only thing I'm good at is lifting people's spirits. So I should probably be trying harder to...do that.

[ She bites into one of the beignets, thinking to herself. ]
... And your biography, that information about you... I'm certain it was wrong. You're good at more than just that, I'm sure... but I think you were never able to find out what else.
[ She smiles a little before finishing off her beignet. A strawberry one, this time. ]
It was easy for me to talk to you, after all... um, I don't find it easy to talk to a lot of people about things like what I told you.
no subject
It's easy for me to talk to you, too. And, you know that if you ever need to talk about anything, I'll listen. I'm... really good at keeping secrets, too.
[It comes from a lifetime of having to keep his own.]
I guess we'll have to learn together. Though I'm getting a lot later start than you are.

[ It's funny how easily they connected. But she certainly isn't complaining. He's a good person, and she'd like to help him discover more about himself. ]
I still have a lot to learn, too. It's okay. [ She lets out a quiet laugh. ] Right now, the only thing I can really do is draw.
[ And that's never helped anyone before. Not really. ]
no subject
You can draw? That's...something I never could do. But I...know somebody, back in Villeneuve, he's an artist. He paints, at least, and I think he draws, too.
