[One week. One week spent in the Haunted Mansion, and nothing seems to have changed. The hinges still creak in doorless chambers, strange and frightening sounds still echo through and you still occasionally catch a flicker of candlelight out of the corner of your eye. You might be slowly becoming familiar with the mundanity of this communal life, and we've recognized that possibility.

I don't think time runs the same way here. [She bows her head apologetically.] Sorry for startling you.

May be, but it's kind of foolish of me to lose track of it either way.

[He scoots to make room for her to sit if she wants to.]

It's fine, I should have been paying better attention. How are you?

[She sits, carefully tucking her skirt down. It wasn't really made to be worn for two weeks in a row and she ripped part of it off the other day to give to Wander, so it's. It's definitely seen better days.]

As good as one can be in a situation like this, I think. [She sighs.] Francesca would be much better than me at this, she always knows what to do. What about you? I saw you in the kitchen earlier, making something.

Oh, yeah, I made beignets earlier. Just something light and sweet to bring everyone's spirits up.

...I felt bad for running off yesterday.

I don't think you should be.

[Her secret, in the grand scheme of things, couldn't have possibly been as bad as some people's, but it was something she . . . wasn't necessarily proud of and she wasn't exactly keen on the idea that, if no one committed a murder, it would be revealed. Either way, they would all lose.]

It's terribly cruel to, to. [She struggles to find the right word.] Make? Force us to do unspeakable things just to keep our secrets.

Yeah, it is.

I don't... Mine isn't even that bad, it's just... something I don't want to remember.

[Maurice had forgiven him. Belle and the Prince had invited him to their wedding. But he still hadn't forgiven himself for not trying to stop Gaston sooner.]

I don't think anyone would understand mine. Saying "Julia pretended to be Toni" only makes sense if you know who Toni is, non?

[Which she is not going to provide context for, because that's the real secret. She burned the photo but kept the secret for a reason.]

That's true... And that doesn't sound like much of a secret, either.

Sometimes a secret isn't a secret because you don't want people to know what you did. Sometimes it's a secret because you don't want people to know what kind of person you are.

[Only a terrible person would lie repeatedly to someone they considered a friend for no reason other than their own selfish want to fit in, right? And what does that say about anything she's said so far here? She doesn't. She wouldn't kill for that to stay a secret, but she very much doesn't want everyone to know it.]
