[One week. One week spent in the Haunted Mansion, and nothing seems to have changed. The hinges still creak in doorless chambers, strange and frightening sounds still echo through and you still occasionally catch a flicker of candlelight out of the corner of your eye. You might be slowly becoming familiar with the mundanity of this communal life, and we've recognized that possibility.

Something has to give.]

[Eggs, bacon, fruit... It's a full breakfast. Nothing she needs to add to it-- so she takes her food and sits with him. Smells good.]

It's nice, not being the one cooking for once.

[He takes a bite of honeydew.] You do all the cookin' in your house?

Oh Howl can cook just fine, but he's always so busy. I'm pretty sure he's one of those people who'd forget to eat at all if you didn't remind him.

[Sophie chuckles before taking a bite of an apple slice.]

You can't help but worry when folks get like that. [Wander never forgets to each. Totally.]

I mean, I do a lotta cookin' for the two of us, but that's because I'm an early riser and Sylvia already does so much work walkin' from planet to planet.

[...she's going to watch you Wander.]

It sounds like you two make a good team.

[Each with their own strong points... it sounds nice.]

You bet we do! [pops a grape into his mouth] Sylvia's the strongest, toughest best friend you could ever ask for! [He flexes his puny muscles to show just how strong she is.] And even though she's a bit of a grump, she really does mean well.

I got the impression that she cares a lot. She seems like the type who really goes all out. It must be nice, being together in a situation like this.

[The longer she's been here the more she missed Howl, Calcifur, Markel... heck, she even missed Solomon's dog and the Witch of the Waste.

Hah, I should tell her than next times.

[There are a lot of compliments he can give Sylvia, but something he needs to mix it up. "Really goes all out" has such a spirited ring to it. And in a place like this, she could use the reassurance.]

It really is nice. Sure, we're both stuck, but when we're together, there's nothin' we can't face down.
