[One week. One week spent in the Haunted Mansion, and nothing seems to have changed. The hinges still creak in doorless chambers, strange and frightening sounds still echo through and you still occasionally catch a flicker of candlelight out of the corner of your eye. You might be slowly becoming familiar with the mundanity of this communal life, and we've recognized that possibility.

Something has to give.]

What's it look like, girl? [Whack! Okay, she's actually going to lower the axe for the moment, because she wants to talk to Namine, and she's kind of a sweet child who shouldn't be around an axe.]

I'm trying to bust this door down. [She jerks a thumb at the subject of her assault, which looks completely fine.] If I can, then we can get out of this dump!

[ Good call. Naminé eyes the axe a liiiiittle nervously, but she relaxes when it's kind of away. ]

Will it really be that easy, do you think? I hope there's no tricks, or you don't get in trouble.

[It's just an axe!! How bad could it be?]

I'm really hoping so. [She is INTENT] And if anything decides to get in the way- boom!

[She smacks her fist into her other hand.] They'll see just why you don't mess with a Corduroy.

[ She jumps a little at that, but calms down pretty quickly. ]

You're... very tough, Wendy.

[ That's sure a note of admiration in her voice...! ]

Heck yeah, I am. Comes with the training; I grew up with three brothers and that makes for a really tough childhood.

[Luckily, she's the toughest of the lot. Please, commend her.]

And I've totally had run-ins with ghosts before.

Wow...

[ Everyone here seems so amazing that it makes her feel so... unsure of herself. ]

I'll bet they knew not to mess with you.

Actually... me and my friends were kind of messing around and they decided to totally haunt us. One of my friends actually saved our butts.

[Ehehe... she taps the door a bit. My it's interesting how the damn thing doesn't want to open.]

But, you know, I've run into some.

They must be a very good friend, then. Was it very scary?

[ Naminé pokes at the door, too. Hmmm. ]

Oh, it was...

[...Well. She's not around her friends right now. It's okay, isn't it.]

I'm not gonna lie; the whole thing was pretty dang creepy. It was like these two old people ghosts that hated teenagers, and we only got out of it thanks to my friend Dipper.

[She tries the knob. It's still stuck, like always.]

It was-ngh!-pretty cool.
