WEEK 2

[One week. One week spent in the Haunted Mansion, and nothing seems to have changed. The hinges still creak in doorless chambers, strange and frightening sounds still echo through and you still occasionally catch a flicker of candlelight out of the corner of your eye. You might be slowly becoming familiar with the mundanity of this communal life, and we've recognized that possibility.

Something has to give.]

Ooh! Does that thing say anything about how we can get out of here?

I don't... I don't think so? Not so far. Can't imagine he'd've been able to predict this.

I dunno. There's been some pretty amazing stuff in that book. It's helped us out a lot. [wait] I mean, me and my friends.

Really. Because it all looks so... well it just seems so silly, y'know.

[He holds up the page with the barf fairies. Like. Come on.]

I can't imagine this is goin' to help us much.

But, it's really helped a lot, dude. Like, we found Ford's secret underground murder bunker with that thing.

[Oh. He knows what she means. He erased a lot of the stuff that took place inside it but he certainly remembers that it exists.]

It wasn't a murder bunker, it was a research containment facility.

Dude, it was kinda a murder bunker. [But he knows! That's good, it means she doesn't have to explain everything...]

We got attacked by this crazy shapeshifter guy that wanted the journal and nearly died to it.

[That he remembers less of, considering he absolutely erased everything to do with 'Shifty' out of his head.]

... Oh. Well that's. I'm sorry?

[He's trying to do this at his own pace, okay, Wendy. Don't just dump it all on a guy.]

Oh yeah, it's no biggie now, dude. We totally handled it. [She got, like, a slight concussion from it. She's fine.]

I'm just saying, this book is crazy helpful sometimes. Maybe it really could have some kind of clue or thing that could help us escape.

If I come across one you can bet I'll be makin' use of it. I think there's a section on ghosts comin' up.

[He saw it when he did his initial flip-through, and he's been working himself up to actually reading it. You know, just in case it turns out there's not any information that can help them but a whole lot that makes the situation worse.]

Yeah? Dude! That could totally help! [She smiles, and kind of gestures?] Ooooor it could totally help us make things worse.

[Y'know, weighing pros and cons.]

Maybe we can figure out what kind of ghosts we're dealing with.

Y'know that's not a half-bad idea? Though with almost a thousand in this house they might not all be the same sort.

[He makes the executive decision to just flip forward a couple of pages until he gets there. It's fine.]
