PRE-ENDGAME REUNION LOG

[For those of you who've touched the box, congrats, you made a good call.

You find yourselves sucked in to a black void, The Hollywood Tower Hotel stands in the distance. Everywhere you look, you'll see familiar faces and...amusement park rides. That's fine. Everybody ride Mr. Toad's Wild Ride with their significant others.

You still have work to do. You need to prevent this from ever happening again. But, for now, you need to be happy. Have fun.]

(OOC: Welcome, friends! Round 3, with the help of the now-redeemed(?) Hades, has made their way to Deadland. The survivors of Round 1 and 2 will arrive approximately half an hour after this. You have approximately two hours ICly before Rod, Hades, Mickey and Ghostave discuss battleplans.

This is our cooldown log before the This will be the last log you have from us until Sunday, where we'll kick off the first phase of our great big gay endgame week. Feel free to make as many toplevels as you want until then.)

Oh! Um.

[Julia takes it back and plays a few aimless notes before launching into something Wander will definitely find familiar. She doesn't know all the words, because the song was originally in English and she doesn't recognize all the words, but she does manage a very passable cover of it.]

[Wander literally gasps in surprise and brings his hands over his mouth.

Out of all the songs Julia could have practiced, he did not expect this. Yes, he has taught several of the folks me came across on his travels, but he was physically there. No one had shown up after several months playing his song.

It's nothing bad, but its incredibly surreal.

Wander could cry if he weren't so transfixed hearing his song coming from his own banjo, but with the feelings of a different person.]

Julia...that...

[He uncovers his mouth, revealing a smile.]

That was incredible!

Really?

[Julia looks a little bit confused, because - well, she's only learned how to play things because she wants to since arriving. It's been hard, learning that it doesn't have to be perfect, you just have to enjoy yourself. You just have to play like you mean it - whether or not that means you hit all the right notes.

So she swallows her immediate reaction of "but I messed up" and manages a smile.]

I'm glad you liked it.

Yeah! [There were mistakes, but Julia was coming from a place of genuine love.] I wrote that song, you know? There's nothin' that can make a music player more proud that a friend playin' a song they wrote.
