ENDGAME GROUP 1: Hellscapes (Log 1)
Now then.
[The initial groups have begun to disperse, and Ghostave and a group of stalwart young heroes remain seated right where they are.]
One of the things we’re looking for is supposedly in The Underworld. I intend to use this opportunity to speak to Hades as well, about his intentions.
...As well as find this “other box” that he seems to have so casually mentioned. Do we have any questions before we venture forth?
(ooc: if you’re in group 1, this is one of your logs!)

Hades raises an eyebrow.]

PrincessQueen, Elsa. Of course you have Random Small Animal Backup?? ...It's fine, he's easy to miss when he's not talking. ]Wasn't the whole finding a hidden mickey somewhere in the underworld and singing to the damn thing in part your idea? This is the underworld. What else would we be here for?

Right. And if you were willing to help us with that information, surely you won't mind aiding us a little more...?
[Hmm... do the demons look familiar at all? Is there anyhing near the torn edge that might look suspicious?]
no subject
[Not to Elsa, no. But if Basil is astute enough, he'll notice that they look a lot like the designs on Freddie's leggings. Far too similar to be a coincidence.]
Fine, you wanna look around, look around. Do it. I gotta nothin' to hide.

Also an eyeroll. You wanted help, Hades. This is them helping. Not their fault "helping" tends to involve being annoying. ]

...Can he draw any conclusions as to what that corner might have depicted, through comparing the depictions in the remaining three corners and examining the remaining edges of the torn-off one? Like, is there a common theme among the corners, or any identifiable imagery leading into the missing corner? ]

Anything else seem off about the painting or its immediate surroundings? ]

Instead, she'll turn her attention to the pedestal. Is there anything on it?]

Are they arranged in a certain pattern, or do they not overlap at all? And is there anything inside of them?]
no subject
Seems like a bad idea to wander away and just leave you here with Hades. ]
no subject
Nope. If there was something inside them, it's been well and burned up by now.]

Hey, I think we found it!
[... But then why did Hades try to shoo them out at first...?]
no subject
Hades, surely you knew this was here already? This can't be what you needed us to go off and find?

[gee wiz basil]
The symbol appears a lot in - you know, ancient text. Pretty common in summoning rituals. The fact it also happened to be the symbol for Walt's wacky enterprise is no skin off my back.

Thrn what's this one specifically for, if it's not the one we're trying to track down?

What exactly did you conjure?

...I take it you'd already informed some of us, and they simply opted not to pass that information around. [ Rude of them tbh.
and he's back to waiting on Elsa. ]
