ENDGAME GROUP 1: Hellscapes (Log 1)

[The initial groups have begun to disperse, and Ghostave and a group of stalwart young heroes remain seated right where they are.]

One of the things we’re looking for is supposedly in The Underworld. I intend to use this opportunity to speak to Hades as well, about his intentions.

...As well as find this “other box” that he seems to have so casually mentioned. Do we have any questions before we venture forth?

[The Hades figure is over in Club 33. Like a loser.

Outside that, it seems like these are the only pieces he currently has in play.]

Hades, Rod, Monsieur Lincoln, the host, Walt, this poor melted person, and Hades himself.

...Are these who Hades considers to be the major players on his side? It doesn't make much sense to plan the movements of his allies without considering the movements of his enemies as well. But...

[He pulls the letter back out of his pocket.]

"Walt did me wrong. You know that. I...if making more people go through what we did will get his attention, make him realize that what he did wasn't okay...I guess I could live with that."

[...Oh by the way guess who can read now, Belle.]

[Belle considers all of this thoughtfully. It's a puzzle, and she does so love puzzles, but this one feels like there are pieces missing. Like there's a move she hasn't considered as a possibility just yet.

But all of that is dashed from her mind as she watches Lefou read aloud from that letter, and her expression shifts to one of utter delight.]

[She'd always assumed he couldn't, given that he didn't have the same upbringing as most of the boys in the village, from what she's heard and been told.]

[He's puzzling between the letter and the table when her outburst makes him jump, eyes wide like a frightened hare.

And then he gives her a smile.]

My girl, Namine, taught me how. During our ritual.

[Her face lights up even more, if it were even possible, and there's something soft in her expression, too. Fond.]

You—you have a daughter?

[His smile widens to a soft, adoring grin.]

It wasn't my idea for her to start calling me "Papa," but... Yeah, I do.

You'll adore her, Belle, she's amazing.
