Recuérdame.
[Those of you who wish to see those who passed on? You'll be directed outside by Zeus, where he raises his arms, and marigolds begin to float around him. They float upwards, and form into a bridge.
It's structurally sound, and it seems fitting that you can cross it.
Eventually, you'll see it. Elysium. The Land of The Dead. Gentle music plays as you cross over into the city.
It's...festive. It's always festive. The architecture is colorful and full of spirit, and your group seems to be the only ones...human in appearance. Even your old friends seem to be a bit more skeletal in appearance. You can spend as much time here as you like, but eventually, that bridge will disappear. And you'll have to leave.
But...they'll never truly be gone. Not if you remember them. And someday, you'll join them. But for now, you celebrate. You've earned your happy ending.]
(ooc: This is the last log for the three canon rounds of Foolish Mortals! Thanks for coming along for the ride - we loved having you, and we hope to see ya real soon!)

Stan and Leia, though I am sure you didn't have much time to prepare your vows, [He casts his glance to Leia for a moment] as surely as I am making this all up as I go, I expect them to be all the more earnest for it. For they will allow you to express your love in it's purest form.
[He smiles, clutching his hands together, beaming with pride.]
I would at this time like to invite you to publicly declare your vows. Leia, you may begin.

The tears are still shining in her eyes when she tears her eyes away from Stan's to look at her brother, who's changed so much from that wiry, golden boy she first met so long, long ago. Changed in every sense of the word. She supposes she's changed too.
A throaty laugh comes from her throat when she realizes they're all sort of ad-libbing here, and she nods, looks back at Stan, and swallows.]
Stanley, the things you and I have endured together...they'd be enough to drive any sane woman to the opposite end of the world, and then hop the nearest transport off-world. Fortunately, and as my brother can attest, I've never been what the layman would call 'sane'. I'm stubborn, and hard-headed, and sharp-tongued. But you...you bring out the best in me. You've been supportive every moment of every day, you've been kind and loving, even and especially when you think nobody's looking. You love your family more than life itself, and that on its own is enough to make anyone fall for you.
[Leia takes a deep breath, tears rolling down her cheeks freely now despite her best, well-practiced efforts at remaining composed.]
I love you now, and I will love you every day until I can no longer draw breath, and—
[She glances around, hiccups a laugh.]
And I'll love you when our time is done and we meet again here. I promise to be by your side no matter what obstacles the universe throws at us, and I promise to stay faithful and true for as long as the Force binds us together. From now, until eternity.

If someone had told him that there would be a light at the end of the tunnel, that he would feel even a tiny, grasping pea-sprout of hope after losing Ford, well... he would have punched them.
They haven't changed clothes or showered in a few days, they're exhausted and hungry, it's been less than forty-eight hours since he was violently executed and in that time he helped save the multiverse but had to deal with the loss of his brother, and if the saying does include "something borrowed" then they can count most of the wedding accessories as that. But they're surrounded by their loved ones, including family that they're going to be separated from for at least a year. And even as nervous as he is about how unprepared they are, the thought of waiting an entire uncertain year until their family - their brothers, especially - could be with them, was worse.
After all, if nothing else this whole thing had proven that, well. Maybe they wouldn't have a year.
A knot builds in the pit of his stomach, his heart racing as Luke finishes his part, as he directs Leia to speak, but as Stan looks into her eyes, warm and dark and sparkling with laughter and unshed tears, he holds her hands tighter, smiles at her, his own eyes welling with tears in response to the tears in her voice.
When the tears start rolling down her face, he breaks tradition, he lets go of her left hand and cups her face, swiping the tears from her cheek with the pad of his thumb. When she looks away, at the mixed crowd of skeletons and living around them (including some they don't even recognize at all, friendly curious locals who can't help but spectate a Living Wedding in the Land of the Dead), he takes her left hand again, rubs his thumbs over her knuckles.]
Leia, if anyone had told me weeks ago that I was gonna be marrying the woman whose first words to me were telling me to put on pants, I would've thought they were crazy.
[He hides clearing the lump in his throat with a chuckle at his own joke.]
I can be rude, and reckless, and stubborn as the day is long. I'm an old curmudgeon, and a con man, and I lie as easy as breathing, and even my good looks can only go so far to make up for all'a that. But you got deep into the heart of me, you found your way to something I never gave to nobody but family before, and, well. That made you family. This just makes it official.
The last few months've been an adventure, and falling in love with you has been one of the only good things that came out of it. You're the hope that kept me going through the night. I wanna give you a home, someplace you can come home to and hang up all those hats you wear. I got one more adventure in me, and I couldn't think of a better one than marrying you. And I swear, in front of our family and friends and the guy I borrowed this jacket from,
[He pauses just for a beat, in case that gets a laugh,]
that I'm gonna love you with every beat of my old, stubborn heart, Starshine. And when that gives out, I'll keep loving you, enough that you'll know it every day I ain't there until you come here and join me.
