[A couple hours after the trial there may be a note slipped under your bedroom door reading simply in very formal handwriting (actually it's very amazingly neat for someone of her age you might think it's the other Anna)--

I made sandwiches. They're in the lounge if you want them.

[Mike can be found making sure that blood has been scrubbed off their doors--and if it hasn't been, he sure is washing it off now. SCRUB A DUB.

Later, he can be found chilling in the Conservatory, with a little dog bobblehead right next to him. Look at it go, just bouncing away. He's just kind of absentmindedly staring out the window, and can be sneaked up on. Is he nodding off too?? A mystery.]

[Far from their first encounter, Wendy's looking a little rough. to say the least.]

Don't suppose you need any help with all this cleanup, huh?

[Mike throws her a salute when she approaches and.....well he doesn't really need the help, but like heck will he deny someone a distraction. He gestures over at a bucket.]

Yo! Can't really clean all the doors at once, so. . .! Sure, grab a rag.

[A distraction is good. That's just what she needs right now, seeing as there's so little that can distract them from this mess.]

Sweet. Thanks. [She tries to sound thankful, really she does. She grabs a rag and moves to help scrub one of the doors.]

....So, that sucked.

I keep wanting to tack on "on the plus side" in there somewhere, but man. It'd just feel sort of shallow, you know?

Whole lot of sucking. [Yes, she knows how that sounds.]

Yep. I mean, I guess we should be happy that it wasn't a legit murder but, pretty small victory right there! [A little huff as he scrubs at the door]

The pettiest of victories in my opinion. [She scrubs vigorously at a blood stain, hoping to wash it away along with the image in her mind. But like the stain, that's harder then it looks.]

Oh, I'm fine I guess. Just, trying to keep cool, y'know? [...] I mean, dang. Both of them just... died. God.

[She's trying to work through it.]

Yeah, that's how it goes, as harsh as it is to say. [That much, he can't really sugar coat. But he'll try to swing it semi positively. Ish.]

You know, if it weren't for this setup though? This would be one heckuva hanging spot. Crazy dimension hopping, meeting folks you'd never run into at home--it's been pretty cool! Too bad some ghost dudes decided to rain on the parade.

....Oh yeah. Absolutely. [You've actually gotten her to slide out of her funk, Mike. For the moment anyway. She raises a hand in a "why this" gesture.]

I mean, yeah! Just clean up the place or get rid of the ghosts or something. Heck! Keep the ghosts, just don't make people stay here and have to kill each other!

Heh! To be honest I wasn't a big believer in ghosts or magic stuff til coming here. Shows what I know! But seriously, there have to be some chill ghosts out there. They could turn this place into a real party house if they wanted and keep it just as is. You know, for a family friendly spooky kinda feel!

Bet they'd get a ton of guests then.

[She'd be the best at it, no doubt about that. In fact, he gets her to laugh. A little, but it's a start.]

Man, all the ghosts I've run into have just been the worst. [She lets her head fall back, looking up at the ceiling.] They just liked to pick on us or tell us to kill each other.

I'd love to have some nice ghosts for a change.

What, seriously? I thought that was just movie stuff. There are plenty of good folks out there, so there oughta be some chill ghosts.

Like. . .I dunno. A pizza ghost? Just shows up and gives you pizza at 1am. Like that. [Or Casper. Give someone some pizza, Casper!! Cheap ghost.]

Oh no, it's totally real. No joking here. Me and my friends got harassed by two of them. [She pauses.] Not - not all of you, my other friends, back home.

[Scrub scrub....] Pizza ghost would be pretty rad honestly. I'd take it over the ghost host.

Ghost host could be made to look like a pizza ghost. Just give him a backwards baseball cap or something. [dudebro ghost, there you go.]

You're from the west coast, yeah? Remind me to never go there without some kinda ghost hunting gear. That's way too weird to think about.
