[A couple hours after the trial there may be a note slipped under your bedroom door reading simply in very formal handwriting (actually it's very amazingly neat for someone of her age you might think it's the other Anna)--

I made sandwiches. They're in the lounge if you want them.

Anna herself will be found in the study after seeing everyone has enough sandwiches. Where she very sulkily is drawing a boat.]

[Wander rests a hand on her arm.]

That's understandable. Everyone on this ship is currently dealin' with the pressure of the latest excursion, and we all need to step back and reassess the situation.

Captain! You're not going to keep going, are you?

[Wander's voice becomes a bit gruffer, just enough to get in character but not enough to pull Star out of reality.]

Lieutenant, I've been on this job for years and I've seen so many setbacks and failed missions, but you know the most important lesson I learned? To never give up, even when hope seems to be lost. There's gonna be ups and downs in life, but only by stickin' together can we find out true strength and accomplish what we set out to do.

I gotta keep goin', if only for your sake.

[Star sits in awe of Wander's inspirational speech. It's almost enough to make her break character.]

Jeez.

You know, I can see why you're the captain now, Captain.

[folkscallmewander]

[He rubs the back of his head, and his voice returns to normal.]

But your spirit's why you've been promoted to Lieutenant, Lieutenant. You also got what it takes to push through, all you need is some encouragement and a push from your friends.

You've really got a way with words, Captain Wander.

[She slowly raises her hand in a salute.]

If you'll have me, I'd like to stay on.

[Salutes back.] I'm glad to have you on board, whenever and wherever you can.

Sorry about my momentary lapse in confidence, captain! I think I'm ready to get back to work!
