[The moment she touches him, Wander flinches, but he eases into her hands when he realizes it's Sylvia. She's here to help him. She's still alive, but Sophie isn't and everyone is hurt by that and Wander couldn't do anything and they need him to help but Sylvia is here.

He watches her with tight, shaking eyes. Without the need to prop himself on the floor, he lets his arms dangle by his sides.]

[She offers him a small smile.]

[No, that's a complete lie and neither Wander nor herself will ever believe it. Best case scenario, one more person is going to die today and she's not sure if anything will be okay again.

So instead she offers something she can guarantee.]

[Wander looks at the ground, shaking in her hands. He hasn't done anything to help people yet, he wishes he could have been here to talk the murderer down. But maybe, just maybe, there's something they can all do.

What he could really used is a tight hug. He wraps his arms around so they rest on top of hers and leans forward.]

[After a brief surprise she wraps her own arms tightly around Wander. She knows this is something they both need.

She's tempted to offer "You don't have to save everyone", but she's tried it enough time that it would hardly come as a comfort to Wander, especially at a time like this.]
