[Wander has reeled back from this execution faster than Mulan's. This murder wasn't an accident, but it was still terrible all around, and it wouldn't have happened under normal circumstances. Knowing that Tadashi planned this out made it...a bit better, but it still made something awful eat at his stomach.

Speaking of which, everyone needed to eat something light today. Right after the trial, he heads to the kitchen and prepares twenty bowls of fruit salad and mixes together ingredients for chocolate chip cookies. While they're cooling off, he slides a note under everyone's rooms.]



There's fruit in the lounge, cookies coming soon. We should stick together, especially after this.

[He was quick to shake his head, quick to send his hair cascading back and forth over his shoulders. It was like with Anna -- this wasn't the sort of thing he wanted to be praised for.]

[ Her head's so jumbled up she has to really think. ]

I think there might be more tea bags up in one of the cupboards... Could you reach those for me? Please?

Absolutely.

[It took a bit of doing, mostly because Maui had to look between what Namine already had and what was on the shelf, just to figure out what the heck a teabag was. After some amount of effort and studying, though, Maui pulled down a handful more.]

[ She nods, looking through the teabags. ]

There are so many flavors, I had no idea... Cinnamon, vanilla, coconut...

I didn't even know any of them exis-- [He stopped, hearing her last selection. Coconut?.]

That last one. Can you make a batch for me?

The coconut?

Of course I can. [ Now that she thinks about it. ] Do you come from an island, then? If you're so interested in the coconut.

Yeah. Sort of. I mostly just traveled between them. [He thumbed over one of the tea bags, expression thoughtful.]

Guess I never considered its teas.

[ She nods. ]

Someone I knew... [ She doesn't think she has a right to call Sora her friend. Of course, she'd like to, but. ] He grew up on an island. There were a lot of coconut trees there, he said.

[ As she talks, she prepares the tea. ]

It smells really wonderful. Is that really what a coconut smells like?

Sounds like your friend grew up in a great place. Heck, maybe I met him. [He doubted it, seeing as how he seemed so far behind everyone else, time wise. But it was nice to imagine having connections to some of these people.]

I mean, I didn't go around sniffing coconuts but... yeah it's pretty close, I guess.

Hmm... I think he would have talked about you if you had.

[ Or, rather, she would have seen it in his memories. ]

Yeah. [A rumble of a chuckle.] You're probably right.

[He was kind of a big deal, after all. Like... literally big.]

You'll show it to me once we're out of here, right?

[ She hesitates. If they leave this place, and if they all leave together... She doubts she'll be able to do much of anything. Kairi is depending on her, even if she doesn't realize it. ]

I... I can try.

[ Maybe... Kairi would allow her that. She isn't sure, even with how kind Kairi is. ]
