[Wander has reeled back from this execution faster than Mulan's. This murder wasn't an accident, but it was still terrible all around, and it wouldn't have happened under normal circumstances. Knowing that Tadashi planned this out made it...a bit better, but it still made something awful eat at his stomach.

Speaking of which, everyone needed to eat something light today. Right after the trial, he heads to the kitchen and prepares twenty bowls of fruit salad and mixes together ingredients for chocolate chip cookies. While they're cooling off, he slides a note under everyone's rooms.]



There's fruit in the lounge, cookies coming soon. We should stick together, especially after this.

Mm, you can't put in a bent wire. It changes the sound of the key. [She thinks for a second.] Maybe if I ask the Ghost Host he'll give me one?

[Tip shakes her head.] I haven't got anything I really want to ask him about.

It's probably better not to ask spirits for too many things, you never know what they might want as payment.

Yeah, I guess. That never goes well in stories. Or horror movies. [She leans back at that.] Ugh, we kind of are in a horror movie now, aren't we?

[amadeusrockette]

We kind of are, aren't we? Like that American movie. [Something about blades?] Sawblade or something?

[pardonmylanguage]

...I think it's just "Saw"? But I thought that one was just a crazy serial killer guy without any ghosts. [A pause] I dunno, I've never watched the whole thing.

[amadeusrockette]

I've never seen it, actually. [She literally only knows about this because Nick and Bruno were talking about it. Boys.] But Nick said it was about a man named . . . Puzzle? Puzzlemaster, I think, who doesn't kill people himself. He just makes them want to kill each other, which sounds an awful lot like our situation. The newest one was supposed to come out in a couple months and . . . we were . . .

[She trails off awkwardly, the sudden realization that after all the things she's done Nick might not even want to speak with her sinking in. He seemed like he might forgive her, but.]

[pardonmylanguage]

[After a bit of an awkward pause, she reaches up to pat Julia on the shoulder.] Yeah...it does. I think he used a lot more direct torture though. And he only had two victims or something?

...I'm sure he'd understand if you said you weren't interested in watching it anymore.
