[It's been a very long, and very upsetting morning, and honestly, Ford is feeling goddamn drained. All the events of the day have hit him like a ton of bricks. And as much as he wants nothing more than to sleep for about a week...well. There's work to do.

After talking it over with Fiddleford, his first mission is hitting the kitchen and scraping together all the eggs, potatoes, and onions he can find. It takes him a good few hours, but eventually he's got five big casserole dishes full of kugel, steaming hot, fresh out of the oven. He stacks up a big pile of plates, forks, and serving utensils and carries it all into the lounge in trips.

Next is the business of the still. Between the two of them, the two Fords manage to get it into the lounge and set it up on a table where it's easy to access. Ford also pilfers a big glass jug of apple juice for the kids and puts it nearby. All the adults are free to partake of a cup of Fiddleford's sugar shine. They'll be needing it, tonight.

Lastly, are the notes. Ford writes them all out in his neat, block lettering, and slips one under each door—pausing at the doors of the deceased with a sad frown each time.

The lounge is quiet while they wait for everyone to arrive, save for the sounds of banjo music....

Don't think I could drink too much even if I wanted to. This stuff feels like it'll put hair on your chest and then immediately burn a hole through it right after. Kinda sweet, though!

[Which is pronounced more like Yulia, because. German.]

I did? [shit. He rubs the back of his head]

Whoops, sorry. Was thinking of someone else. Julia it is! [he even attempts the correct pronunciation.] Can't blame the drink for that one.

Someone else? [The alcohol means that the statement takes a second to catch up with her: there's no Julie in the mansion, after all.] Oh! Is she someone you know back home?

[Julia how much have u drank. Mike snickers, then nods.]

Yeah, Julie! She's a teammate of mine. I call her Jules. Guess I was trying to not let the nickname slip out, and messed up anyway.

Jules? Huh, I've never heard that before. Most people call me Julichen, for "little Julia."

[Pronounced kinda like "Julian" with a y instead of a j. Sort of.]

Heh, I just kinda made it up. Julichen's cool though! Not that you're little or anything. Do you like it, or would you rather something else?

Julia blinks, fiddling with her hair.]

[??? Mike tilts his head, genuinely curious.]

Well, I'm asking. Where'd folks pick that name up from anyway?

You can add "chen" or "lien" to words in German to make them smaller. [Wait, no. That's not quite what she means.] Cuter, I mean. So it's a common way to make a nickname for someone, where I'm from.

I've never had any other nicknames.

[This is actually the most people she's ever been friendly with at one time, so L M A O. The fact that anyone?? Is asking about a nickname??? Or even giving her one?????]
