WEEK 5

[Wander and Sylvia are dead, the Ghost Host was snuffed out like a light, and Tarzan is nowhere to be seen. It seems like in an instant everything is changed, not just the circumstances, but the mansion itself. It feels like it's gotten significantly colder in the mansion, and you might also start seeing bugs out of the corner of you eyes, darting away into darkness the moment you try to focus on them.

And, starting this week, any and all ghosts are eerily absent but at the same time, no matter where you go, you feel like you're being watched by something. To make matters worse, the attic doors have been nailed open. 

But there are some bright spots in this week. When you wake up on Sunday, you'll find that you have a brand new tuxedo hanging up on your bedroom door, in your exact size. Later, if you're curious enough to try going from the second floor to the attic, you'll find that there's a whole new floor to explore, but this time it's just comprised of two rooms: a smallish but serviceable laundry room and an expansive casino with an attached bar.

Don't tell Jiminy about this he will have a heart attack.

Feel free to explore, but maybe you want to keep away from the Stretching Room for awhile. Somebody cut the noose on the hanging corpse.

A plus and a minus? Just--don't move, they're not gonna hurt you. Probably. C'mon, give your legs a good shake! [LIKE MIKE DOES tho honestly it is a miracle he has not crushed any in his boots.]

[You know what? Today was a GREAT day to recieve a suit with pants. She's gonna climb a slot machine. Maybe?? They won't get her there???]

[Julia no!! But also, he is not gonna stop her. He slides a bar stool over to her to stand on.]

Getting to high ground might not be the worst idea! I won't let them get to you, promise. 'Least, more than they have so far.

[She's just gonna sit on top of this slot machine and never leave.]

They are going to eat us, Mike! [Or so the song said.] We are going to die of bugs.

We're not. [a beat] Not yet, anyway.

This guy is our new Ghost Host, I think.

All that means is if the bugs eat us all, nobody will be left to vote for him to be executed!

[Don't mind her, she's just a little hysterical and having a bad day.]

[aboyandhiscar]

[internal screaming. Mike momentarily ignores the bugs crawling up him to look up at her.]

Juju, deep breaths, okay? This isn't a trial! No one else is dead or dying. [for now] It's just--the set up's changing in a bad way. It'll be over soon, and then we all can go back downstairs and pretend this didn't happen for a couple days.

[Deep breaths. She can do that, sure. In and out and in and out - it's fine. It's just like before a performance, except the floor is bugs.

There is nothing wrong with the floor being bugs.]

[Horrible, glowing, choreographed bugs. It's fine!! He sighs a little.]

Hey, buck up, no reason to apologize. S'all just a show to see if he can get under our skin. Reacting's normal, just don't let him know he can keep getting to you like this.

If you say so.

[She doesn't seem convinced.

Murder? That's fine. Ghosts? Also fine. Tarzan turning into a different person? Weird, but ultimately something she could handle. Bugs? No. Nope. Nu-uh.]

. . . We should have been nicer to Ghostave.

[It's always the simple stuff that's the most horrifying. He nods, shaking some beetles off his boot.]

Yeeah, regretting that myself. Didn't trust him one bit, but he was a heckuva lot better than. . .this. . . [BUG BAG]
