WEEK 5
[Wander and Sylvia are dead, the Ghost Host was snuffed out like a light, and Tarzan is nowhere to be seen. It seems like in an instant everything is changed, not just the circumstances, but the mansion itself. It feels like it's gotten significantly colder in the mansion, and you might also start seeing bugs out of the corner of you eyes, darting away into darkness the moment you try to focus on them.
And, starting this week, any and all ghosts are eerily absent but at the same time, no matter where you go, you feel like you're being watched by something. To make matters worse, the attic doors have been nailed open.
But there are some bright spots in this week. When you wake up on Sunday, you'll find that you have a brand new tuxedo hanging up on your bedroom door, in your exact size. Later, if you're curious enough to try going from the second floor to the attic, you'll find that there's a whole new floor to explore, but this time it's just comprised of two rooms: a smallish but serviceable laundry room and an expansive casino with an attached bar.
Don't tell Jiminy about this he will have a heart attack.
Feel free to explore, but maybe you want to keep away from the Stretching Room for awhile. Somebody cut the noose on the hanging corpse.
17 guests remain.]

Maybe something's stopping them. The Host talked about his "employer", maybe this mysterious person has some sort of control over all the other ghosts as well?
no subject
What kind of being could have the power to control so many ghosts? [He makes a moan of discontent, it sounds almost funny] I really don't like the sound of that.
no subject
[Oh geez now that she says that... yeah that is. Pretty terrifying.]
B-But maybe that's not the case... it could just be someone with very unique magic. Or perhaps someone who can manipulate others through more conventional means, like blackmail...
[How you can blackmail a ghost, Elsa doesn't know, but anything's better than that other idea.]
no subject
[Oh no. That immediately brings a name to mind. Unique magic, manipulation, it fits, in Demyx's opinion. He mutters, mostly to himself than to Elsa]
Don't tell me Hades is the one behind all this.
no subject
[The name sounds... familiar. Elsa has to wrack her brain, thinking back to the countless books she read in her decade of confinement, and... ah, wait. She has heard that name before?]
That's... a god of the underworld from ancient times. But there haven't been stories about those gods for ages, have there?
no subject
[And given the whole mess with the worlds that's going on here, it's not impossible for that Hades to be doing this]
I take no responsibility for anything that's happening here if he's the guy who's telling us to kill each other!
no subject
She shudders a little at the idea, but still, there's no hint of suspicion. In fact, she actually looks worried that he's worried.]
Unless you actively worked to bring him here, I would never think to blame you in such a situation! This is all something none of us have any control over, correct?
no subject
no subject
"Job stuff"? What exactly do you mean by that?
no subject
I mean, what we do is go around worlds, fight weird creatures that hurt people, and do all that as secretly as possible, why's that kid trying to stop us? It's not like we're harming anyone.
[Twisting the truth as much as possible, because yeah, Demyx can imagine nobody around here would be happy if he outright stepped forward and said 'yo, I'm a villain'. He's more than aware some of their actions aren't exactly good -- and he has no qualms with that]
no subject
But even with little knowledge of his work and who he is, Elsa can tell that something is up, just by the way he stutters. She doesn't call him out on it, though; lord knows she's hid a lot about herself for most of her life. She can't really judge, though it does make her a little worried.]
So... you only tried to make a deal with him because you wanted to help people?
no subject
Well, more like to help my group. What we're doing is very important for us, because it is...uuuh... [Okay, the odds anyone from the Organization will visit Elsa's world are rather low, so maybe he can tell a few details?] You see, I was attacked a long time ago and almost died, kind of survived but got my heart...stolen?
So I was taken into a group full of people who went through the same, and we all work to get our hearts back and, you know, get back to normal lives. That's what we do. And there was this member, he was our best fighter against the same creatures that took our hearts, but he betrayed us and is now with some teenager and his friends. And that's bad, so I thought Hades would have a way to get him back. Even if it was by sending something strong against him and -- knocking him out or something. Because we need his help. Kinda desperate measures, you know?
[There's really no way to make it sound completely good and he knows it, no matter how much he twists the truth. Everything they do is all for the benefit of the Organization, not really caring about how it affects the world around them. That sometimes their actions prevent trouble from happening, and that sometimes their actions plunge worlds into darkness and people die, well, nobody cares about that, Demyx included]
no subject
That's horrible....
[Amid the horror, there's... sympathy, on her face? He doesn't seem like that bad of a guy, so she can only feel for him, going through something traumatic like that.]
I... I can't really judge if what you did was right or wrong, but I understand very well what it's like to do things you might question later out of desperation.
no subject
[Danger seemingly averted]
Uh, please don't tell anyone? It's the kind of stuff I don't like to talk about. And please really don't mention it to Naminé and Lea. That...that wouldn't be a good idea, for many reasons.
[One because Naminé would shed light on the Organization's evil actions and the other because Lea doesn't know anything, and it's better he doesn't find out. Could affect his future]
no subject
Of course. I promise I won't tell anyone.
