WEEK 6
[Another week has come and gone, and three more people are dead. Nearly half of the guests are dead in a little over a month. The ghosts are still not reacting, and with Demyx's execution one has to wonder if the ghosts are even here anymore.
In the very least one more floor has been opened up: the trophy room, a shooting gallery, and a bathing room.
... Maybe keep Kiara out of the trophy room.
14 guests remain.]

Yeah, just think it's funny the first thing here that even remotely resembles a car is just a little toy. Kind of a slap in the face, yeah?

[????]

[wait
....
shit
Mike's eyes widen at the sudden realization]
Dude. You. . .you don't have cars back home?
no subject
no subject
No, dude, I mean--cars! Stuff that uses an engine? Pretty much moves on their own and you steer it? Like--[He makes a steering motion as if everything should be perfectly clear???]
no subject
But it's like a carriage without horses. Right?
no subject
no subject
What's a... high way?
no subject
And--dude. It's a high way. Like...uh. A road, except high up, I guess? And they all twist together.
no subject
Huh, I've never heard of such a thing.
no subject
Okay. Okay--dude. I want you to close your eyes and imagine something--something like this toy okay? With the wheels and all.
Got it in your head? Now, imagine that moving. All on its own, no horses, no one pushing from behind. There's an engine in it--like a heart, or it's very own soul! And it's roaring to life! And you just sit back and relax and speed away all cozy inside. Only thing you have to do is tell it where it goes.
Can you imagine that?
no subject
The concept of an engine eludes him, but he imagines it's similar to the "motorcycle" that Ford explained to him. The concept of a ride being cozy is more foreign to him even than that.]
I think so?
no subject
--hey, dude, I've got idea. I know how you can really get a feel for it. Take a seat!
[By which I mean Mike is dragging over one of the lounge chairs]
no subject
What are you going to do?
no subject
no subject
You sure this is safe?
no subject
[S A F E. Mike seems to have figured out to attach toy wheels to the legs of the chair. They will not last but at the moment it is working, somehow.]
no subject
He's soft, he can take a hit.
He pops his feet up.]
Alright, do your worst then.
no subject
[Now that's what he wants to hear!!
He darts off to the kitchen first, grabbing as much ice as is available. It's already starting to melt, but that's fine, he's just leaving a trail of it around the mansion, leading back to Lefou. Just a little something to help with the traction.
After that, he gets behind the chair, and pushes. Slowly, but surely, Lefou begins to roll forward, and at first, it's nothing impressive. But Mike keeps going, picking up momentum--through the lounge, study, foyer--and hey, he's picking up quite a bit of speed. So much in fact, the chair starts to get away from Mike. But that just means it's working.
OFF YOU GO, LEFOU!!!]
Lean to steer, man! Lean to steer!
no subject
And then suddenly somehow he can tell that Mike's let go of the chair, and the rattling of the wheels is getting more intense and that wall is getting pretty fucking close.
The laughter turns into a shrill, high-pitched scream, hands gripping the sides of the chair in an iron hold. He hears the warning and jerks his body to the left, too hard, and the chair banks onto two legs and rolls.
He's dead now.]
no subject
Oops!! Mike runs over, nearly tripping on the remaining water and ice as he goes. But he's grinning, even while hoping Lefou didn't like, break anything on him.]
Dude, that was great for a first try! Lots of people crash their rides the first go, no biggie. You okay down there?
no subject
I think... next time I'll choose a ride that's a little more sturdy.
no subject
Heh, if it makes you feel any better, cars usually are. Way more walls around you. And airbags!
