WEEK 7
[You've all been here for well over a month and it's getting harder and harder to keep spirits up. There has been small hope thanks to a mysterious person talking to you through your dreams. A small hope that maybe you'll be able to escape and get your friends back, but you'll have to escape first.
There are no new floors to explore, the outside area remains the same as it's always been. Might as well get comfy here.
11 guests remain.]

There's got to be something coarse enough to grind it down. I'll tell you what—I'm already keeping an eye out for suitable materials. I'll add that to my list.

[Even the ones who have murdered others willingly here... they deserve better than that mockery on their tombstones.]
Should we replace those words with different poems? Or something like this?
[She motions to his sketches and her offerings.]
no subject
[He's determined, now.]
Either way, it would be good to put up our own tributes, even if it's just moving this memorial out to the graves proper.
no subject
[She's not sure if she's making sense here.]
And that way we can keep an eye on it... Oogie Boogie seems like the sort of creature who would deface something like this if he's given the chance. We can... protect it better if it's closer to us.
no subject
[His brow furrows.] I certainly don't trust him as far as I can throw him. Which is rather far, mind you. But let me hunt some suitable materials down, alright? And we can change those gravestones to be a little more appropriate.
no subject
That sounds like a plan. If you need my help, please don't hesitate to ask.
no subject
[Ford hesitates, pushing his hands into the pockets of his trousers.]
The same goes for you. If there's anything at all I can do for you...

[For the longest time, it was impossible for Elsa to ask for or accept help from others. Even after her coronation, even after a year of open gates and love and acceptance from her people... it was so ingrained in her that she had to work things out on her own. That she had to handle every bad thing thrown at her on her own.
But... here in this mansion, she's not alone. Everyone here is going through the same experiences as her, and while they might not know the exact feeling of finding your sister's headless corpse... they were familiar with a similar kind of pain.]
I know I might have been a bit... difficult, these past few weeks, but I know that all of you want to help. And I can't even begin to describe how much that means to me.
no subject
You...? Difficult? My dear lady, you've been anything but. Trust me, this comes from someone who is consistently described as difficult.
[A rare moment of self-awareness from Ford Pines.]
But, listen. That's what friends are for. And after everything we've all been through together, I'd like to think that makes us friends.
no subject
[He's probably one of the easiest guys to talk to??? He doesn't really seem that difficult at all...]
... I'd like to think so too. I didn't have many friends outside of Anna in our world, so I'm not used to how these sorts of things work, but... when I think about how I feel about all of you, I absolutely know that I consider you all friends.
no subject
[He means that lovingly, of course.
Ford gives Elsa a sympathetic smile, and then something seems to occur to him.]
—Ah! I nearly forgot.
[He digs in his breast pocket for something small and shiny on a ribbon, and holds it out to her. It's Kristoff's Ice Master badge, not that Ford knows that.]
I thought perhaps this belonged to you. I pulled it from the slot machine.
no subject
But... oh. She wasn't expecting something like that. She takes it, running a thumb over the flat circle of the badge...]
This isn't mine. It was a medal I gave to a friend of Anna's, after he helped her try and bring me back to Arendelle after... [After she totally screwed everything up.] After my coronation.
no subject
Well, even if it doesn't belong specifically to you, it's still a nice memento from home, I'm sure. I wasn't aware that 'Ice Master and Deliverer' was an official royal title.
no subject
[So blunt....]
If he didn't help Anna... she might not have made it up the North Mountain and back. I needed to do something special for him to show how thankful I was, and because he worked as an ice harvester, I thought that would be the best thing to do.
no subject
That makes a bit more sense, then. But that's a very kind thing for you to do. Give the lad some job security at the very least!
no subject
no subject
Listen. I don't know your whole story, and...you don't have to tell me. But I do know that it seems like you're being much harder on yourself than you need to be. It's easy for me to say, I know, but as someone who's made some colossal mistakes...sometimes the nicest thing you can give yourself is a little forgiveness.
no subject
I know. And I try. Sometimes I think I'm over it, but then something happens, or I say the wrong thing or someone mentions something that's happened in the past, and it just... all comes back.
It's hard, trying to move past something like that. Especially when that something is a result of over a decade's worth of problems that you've caused.
no subject
[Like, you know. Fiddleford's. Eventually. Ford sighs.]
So I know...it isn't as easy as thinking it and seeing it come true. But someday, it will be better. I hope so, at least. You're young, and smart, and kind. You deserve to be unburdened.
no subject
... Did it get better for you?
[It's hard to tell. They didn't talk much the first week, only after the murders started happening... so she didn't get to see what kind of place he was in before all of the horror started taking its toll on all of them.]
no subject
[He offers her a small smile. He's trying.]
