WEEK 7
[You've all been here for well over a month and it's getting harder and harder to keep spirits up. There has been small hope thanks to a mysterious person talking to you through your dreams. A small hope that maybe you'll be able to escape and get your friends back, but you'll have to escape first.
There are no new floors to explore, the outside area remains the same as it's always been. Might as well get comfy here.
11 guests remain.]

Couldn't sleep. I wanted to help you patrol. Two sets of eyes are better than one, right?
no subject
Yeah, that's not -- that's not happening. What if you got hurt, huh? Uh-uh. Not gonna risk it.
no subject
I'm a soldier, Maui, not a damsel in distress. You don't have to do this all by yourself. How do you think I would feel if I found out something happened to you while I was asleep?
no subject
And yet...]
How do you think I would feel if something happened to you because I encouraged this?

But he understood Maui's perspective, too. As little as he remembered from the day that he was injured, he remembered the solid, safe warmth of being held by Maui, the rumble of his voice...whatever he'd been saying to try and keep Lefou awake. He could only imagine how scared he would have been if their positions had been reversed, even then before their relationship had upgraded to...whatever they were now.
He sat up on his knees so that he could reach up and brush some of Maui's curls back from his face, softening his tone to try to bring back his partner from that darkness that hooded his gaze.]
What if we stick together?
no subject
We stick together, and whoever is out there causing trouble uses you to get to me. You might be a warrior, but you're not a demi-god. And if they really wanted to hurt me --
[The mountain of a man trailed off, hoping that Lefou understood the implication.]
no subject
But he stopped on the stairs at the implication. To hear it said as plainly as that slapped him silent for a good few seconds. He...should have known it, honestly, he did know it deep down, or at least hoped for it. In the same deep place where he hid the knowledge that if something happened to Maui there would be no coming back for him.
All the same, there had been only two purposeful murders. Not...counting whatever the hell had happened the night that Wander and Sylvia died.]
If you think someone wants to hunt you down like that, then why are you doing this? [His voice was small. If Maui was still so sure that someone or something wanted to hurt him, then why was he patrolling by himself at all?] If someone saw you out here, then they would know exactly where I was and that I was vulnerable anyway. At least if we're together, I'll be prepared to fight.
...The problem with two beds together is that it feels even emptier without the man - demi-god - I love to share it with me.
no subject
But what about Namine? She gets up for a snack one night and boom, someone grabs her and tries to hurt her. If I'm not up, she gets killed and we're lost without her.
But if I am? Maybe I can scare whoever's hurting her off. [Maui crossed his arms over his chest. He started to say more, but Lefou's statement struck him silent.
Love was... a strange concept to the demi-god. He was used to adoration, sure, but love? His parents hadn't even been able to do that. Under better circumstances, it might have made him feel good, feel happy, but right here and now?
Maui shook his head.]
I don't want your love if it's going to get you killed, Lefou.
no subject
But it was like screaming at a rock wall, wasn't it? And before he could argue that Namine knew better, or that anyone who wanted to hurt her would have to go through the whole mansion to do it, Maui shook his head and Lefou felt his heart drop like a stone.]
...Well, you have it. Whether you want it or not. [He looked away, down at the floor.] Please, Maui. Trust me. Let me help you.
no subject
[Wasn't this how it all started? He had spurned Moana, pushed her concerns and her goals far away from him, all because it was too much? Was history doomed to repeat itself? Or was Maui the great and powerful simply incapable of accepting that there were those who saw something good in him.
He didn't know. He didn't know and he didn't want to think about it either. When he spoke again, his words were careful. Much as he didn't want Lefou hurt, and as hard as it was to see the man so downtrodden, it had to be done.]
Go back to our room. I'll be back later.
no subject
He sucked in a breath and held it, still not meeting Maui's gaze.]
Fine.
[With that he marched past him down the stairs and to the wing with the bedrooms.]
