You finally have a real ray of hope thanks to Mr. Walt, but even he claims that it will be a hard journey ahead. You all have to be strong, physically, emotionally, any kind of strength will work against what you're up against. Maybe take the next few days to rest before the long journey, or prepare for the dangers that await, the choice is yours, but...

[This was torture, it was agony, it was...

He'd heard the stories before, from the man himself. When he closed his eyes, he could see each tattoo from memory, Mini Maui acting out each one with pride.

Mike's whistle catches his attention and he turns to face him guiltily.]

...I want to. [His voice is thick and choked off, but he forces a small smile.] What if I sung it for him when we find them again? Think he'd like that?

I think he'd get a kick out of it. [Mike grins this time, big and genuine.]

After all, you are going to rescue him. Something tells me he's the one that usually does the hero stuff, so he'd get a kick out of you turning the tables.

[Lefou looks away, presses the ruffle of his sleeve to his eyes to stall his tears. But even through the emotion choking his voice, he's smiling.]

If I know him, he's trying to fight his way back to us with the others right now. I'll have to have my hero's introduction ready when we meet them halfway.

[Mike gives a light chuckle, and he slams his fist together enthusiastically.]

Theeere you go, that's the spirit! I can see it now--when you two hook back up, you're probably gonna get your own cool tattoo, heh! But til then, you're gonna have to get that chorus memorized, right?

[Lefou looks back up at the portrait of Maui with a fond, teary smile.]

Just for him.

[His voice cracks.

Hey it's okay, it's okay, you're welcome]

For him. [A beat.] And the little guy, heh.

[Don't forget Mini. Mike lets out a light sigh, and backs off, throwing Lefou a little salute.

Best get to practicing.]

Right, can't forget the little guy either.

[He turns back around to Mike.]

Hey, Mike?

[A little headtilt, as he was just about to walk off.]

Yeah, man?

[He needed a little perspective before he got too deep in his self-flagellating grief.
