WEEK 8
[Two months. Two months of being trapped in this mansion. Two months of heartbreak and despair. Two months of wondering if you are all going to die here.
You finally have a real ray of hope thanks to Mr. Walt, but even he claims that it will be a hard journey ahead. You all have to be strong, physically, emotionally, any kind of strength will work against what you're up against. Maybe take the next few days to rest before the long journey, or prepare for the dangers that await, the choice is yours, but...
Will you be able to escape?
8 guests remain]
[ SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY ]
{OOC: Don't forget to read and respond to our endgame details/check in!}

[ SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY ]

Stresses like these bring out either the best or the worst in people. [Like war.]
Kind of like how I've... never really mattered to anyone, until I met everyone here.
[I do love you. I hope you stay safe.]
We just... need to stay strong for a little while longer. To get them all back, right?
no subject
What? C'mon, man, you definitely matter. Anyone who says otherwise is gonna get it. [She's just proving his point but, yeah. Anyone that decides to disrespect this group's friends is going to be in for a world of hurt.]
We're totally going to get them back. Even if it means going right down into the underworld, right?
no subject
I would deck Saint Peter and give up any chance at Heaven I still had for one more day with him. Going the other way to get them back for good? That's a no-brainer.
no subject
Well hey, we're not just gonna try and get you one day with him, okay? If we can get them all out of there like he said, then I'm definitely gonna try.
[She has... someone she wants to see too, obviously.]
....Just saying, you guys were really cute. Are.
no subject
Being told that they were cute makes him blush a little, turning away and scratching idly at one of his sideburns. It makes him think of the lazy nights and lazier mornings, the way that the smell of salt and seafoam was so much a part of who Maui was that not even two months in a mansion could completely erase it, of the way that Maui could always make him laugh by flexing his pecs underneath Lefou's hand and the way that his own laugh and deep, resonant voice echoed throughout his whole chest until Lefou could feel it as much as he heard it when he rested his head there.
How cuddling up to him felt like sleeping curled up next to a living, breathing, furnace, and how...
He just kept chasing me until he decided he wanted to go back to you. I thought you should know that.]
You know, there is one thing that I want you to promise me.
no subject
After all, maybe this was the grand adventure she was supposed to go on. Stop a monster who trapped them here, avenge their friends, storm the underworld to get them back.
Maybe get a date. But other matters mattered first.
She glances up when she realizes he spoke again.] Huh? Oh yeah, sure. What is it?
no subject
He gave you a pretty tall order, there. Promise- promise me you won't try to go it on your own. [He shifts to face her fully.] Lean on the rest of us if you need to. When you need to.
You're strong, but we're all stronger together, alright? Promise me you won't try to be a hero all by yourself.
no subject
"I know, dude. Tell me about it later."
Maui trusting her wasn't all fluff, she knew that. But she had also come to a stark conclusion when the literal apocalypse happened: she couldn't do everything on her own. And there was no sense in not accepting the help of others.]
Dude, come on, look at me. [She gives him her best smile.] I'm not gonna start rushing into anything I know I can't get out of. We're all going in together. Like a family.
[Or a group of very disgruntled people trying to get their friends and lovers back.]
no subject
I'm glad to hear it. [He reaches out to ruffle her hair.] We don't need any more heroes.
no subject
Well, we're gonna be heroic anyway. [She sits up, somethings brazen shining in her eyes.] Just think about how surprised Maui's gonna look when he sees you again.
no subject
The look in her eyes makes him sit up straighter too.]
We go in together, we come out together. All of us. [He wishes he had Maui with him right there. That he didn't have to imagine his partner's face. Even knowing that they can get them back - that they will, no matter how much Walt can or can't help them in the end, because they know that they're safe somewhere, they're not gone forever - doesn't make the wound any less raw. But his grief has always been a private thing, so he puts on a cheerful smile that doesn't quite reach his tired eyes.]
I know that we won't be done fighting, even when we find them. But it'll be real hope. I think we could all use a little of that.
