[Now that we've got that out of the way, it seems the participants are free to explore the manor at their leisure. The entire first floor is available to them at all times, and any attempts to maneuver outside or to a different floor will prove useless. Seems you're going to get very familiar with this area over the next week or so.

There may be something there that wasn't there before, namely, a set of rules posted next to the bios. Take heed of them, mortals. If you wish to have a private conversation with your Host, it's now entirely possible.

With all that in mind, exploring sounds like a good idea. Proceed with caution, mortals. There are no safety bars to be lowered here.]

[ She's mostly just wandering around, because she's not sure what else to do... so the only thing to do is explore. So when she spots Lefou at the bios, she makes her way over. ]

Lefou? Are you reading all of them?

R-reading? Uh...

Mmm, I was just... looking at the pictures.

Oh.

[ She's quiet for a little moment. Then, not unkindly, ]

Do you know how to read?

[I mean on the one hand he could keep trying to lie but.]

Is it that obvious?

Maybe... a little.

[ She gives him a sheepish smile. ]

I'm not a very good teacher, but... I could read them for you, if you'd like.

[He fiddles with the lace edging on his sleeves bashfully.]

This one- is it really about me?

[Why is he special enough to get a portrait?]

It is. It has your picture, see?

[ And she reads it off for him! She... feels quite a lot of sympathy for him, actually. ]

[As she reads, he doesn't. Seem to take it well. Something sad crosses his face at Lefou is entirely average in everything that he does, with no great accomplishments to his name, and it stays there as she finishes reading.]

It's- it's not...wrong... But how did they know all this?

[ She shakes her head, looking troubled, and she... gosh, she feels horrible for him. Such a cruel thing to write... ]

I'm sorry, Lefou... What's written here... It's not very nice at all. But I'm not sure how they found all of this out. Mine is accurate, but... it's not information that's easily known.

[ She nods. ]

[ And she'll go ahead and read hers off for him. ]

[ That manages to make her pause, and she actually looks... incredibly surprised. ]

[He looks lost for a second, then smiles kind of sadly at her.]

Guess not.

I kind of... know a thing or two, about getting taken in by the wrong people.

I'm sorry, Lefou. Is it... the Captain mentioned in your biography?

[toogoodforhim]

I- Yeah. He was my friend, when we were kids. That's... how I like to remember him.

[While his feelings about the man's death are complicated...]

Anyway, can't change the past, right?

[chainbroke]

[ She frowns, but she won't pursue the subject anymore. ]

That's right... But, we can learn from the past. [ She fidgets a little. ] I know I have, at least.

I hope to. It's... Still kind of the recent past, but it's for the best that he's gone.

[he's enjoying his newfound freedom.]

[ She pauses. ]

It's... the same, for two of the others who were with me in Castle Oblivion. They wanted nothing but to control someone for their own gain.

Gaston was never like that - he was the town hero, everybody loved him. But he couldn't handle not getting what he wanted.

Was he... like that, when you were children?
