[It's Friday the 13th, the deadline for taking the motive. Even the most optimistic guest would have noticed the tensions rising in the hotel. After all, The Narrator seemed pretty sure someone would die in this hotel. Still, there have been attempts to make sure morale remains high in this hotel, and maybe it all worked?

Nothing seems off on the bedroom floor. Perhaps the attempts to keep morale up worked after all?

[After an initial stare at Vanellope's body, a numb Chip is wandering towards the lobby. He's a detective, but this is...this is awful. The first time he's seen something like this, and he's just going to need a minute before he does anything.

Just...gonna sit on an ottoman and rub his face as he tries to decide what to do from here. Unless, of course, something else catches his attention]

[As Chip sits on the ottoman, he should quickly notice that there's a board game set up on a nearby table.]

[It's The Twilight Zone Board Game! Everyone's favorite game.]

It's for four players, looks like it...is it paused midgame? And how many were playing, if so?]

[Funny how even finding the smallest of clues can help pull him out of his grief. Now there's just determination.

[Goofy's just run out here and delivered the bad news. And he's heard... even worse news. Gosh, a kid is dead. Everything feels heavy, but he's got to push on.

He's going to look around a bit, looking for anything noticeable in plain sight.]

[There is a blood trail of some sorts on the floor, it looks like! I'm so sorry, Goofy.]

[Oh.... Oh dear..... Does the trail lead anywhere?]

[It seems to go in two directions: to the game room and to the dining area.]

[Well, he's going to follow the blood trail into the dining room. No way he's going back to the game room after what he heard about Vanellope being found dead.... He can't bring himself to look at the dead body of a kid.]

[The blood trail is meandering, especially in the dining room, but it stops right at the entrance to the kitchen.]

[Oswald is here because.... he needs air, honestly. He couldn't stay in the game room, not with everyone, and that bo- Vanellope there...

For a moment, he just stands there and... collects his thoughts, trying to mentally psyche himself up for this. All of this. This mess. Okay. Time to try and investigate.]

[While Chip is investigating the board game, Oswald might pick up that there's something else lying near it.]

[When he does manage to pick himself out of this rut and be useful, it's amazing how much he can find.

[They're just a bunch of crumbled up candy wrappers lying on the table. Like someone was eating them while playing the game.]

He lets out a sigh, sitting on the edge of the ottoman.]
