Week 4
[Three more people are dead. Unlike last time, the murder was a complete misunderstanding, and could have been prevented. Walt is trying to find a way out, but it's starting to keep up hope. Maybe Walt will have a plan this week and we can all put this behind us.
On Sunday morning, the guests will find that the stairs in the ballroom are now unlocked, leading to an entire new floor! There's even a spa room to unwind and forget about the horrible deaths.

Sunday, after getting an actual shower (by which we mean climbing up to the sink, turning it on, then hanging out there for a bit before finishing and drying himself off) he's going to be fairly subdued, but over the course of the day, seem a little more and more like his old self. By which we mean he fairly quickly notices the new rooms, and ends up mostly in the crafting area. And also doing some laps between it and his own room, taking a bunch of things with him - red string, just to start with, but other colors, too, papers, wooden dowels-
Look, when you're small, you learn to improvise. This room is basically allowing him to treat his goddamn room like his goddamn room. IT'S TIME TO FUCKING BUILD, YO]

Okay, that's Virgil lugging the television from his room to the crafting room. It looks like he's not having an easy time]
I really...shouldn't have skipped arm day. I should have exercised more!
[He grunts while he's struggling. He never realized how much he depended on his power to lift stuff until he didn't have it anymore.
Once he is at the crafting room he gets to work. He managed to dismantle the television, the pieces are strewn on the table. Virgil has a lot of stuff with him, like brushes, chisels, and other miscellaneous stuff. Looks like he's trying to improvise, messing with the inner workings of the television.
It does look like he knows what he's doing, but what are the odds he'll be successful? Zero, unfortunately. He simply doesn't have the right tools or materials]

of course, there's always MY way
lots of fun games and food
in the chapel
this afternoon
love, Marnie
[well, gosh, how could you say no to that?
upon arriving at the chapel, it doesn't seem like there is much set up for a party-- but, hey, it is pretty dark in here. even the hostess doesn't seem to be around yet.
once everyone is inside, everything goes pretty fast: Marnie crawls out from underneath a pew, and there is a slam as the door shuts and Marnie magically pushes the pew against it. she stands up on the pew, hands on her hips, looking down at everyone with a serious and somewhat smug expression.]
It's been a whole entire month since we got here, and now six of us are dead. Why? [rhetorical question] Because we're all too busy fighting each other to fight against the person we should actually be mad at-- the Narrator!
[she takes some small papers with tape on them out of her pockets-- they're name tags, one for each person.]
It's time for everybody to start getting along-- and how can we do that if we don't know the first thing about each other? If you can finish one round of twenty questions without trying to physically or verbally fight your partner, you can leave. If you don't... [TRAILS OFF MEANINGFULLY
well. better settle in, then. this might take a while.]

Investigation!
There's a constant addition to her wardrobe now, by the way. Thalia's wearing Dipper's hat, wherever she goes. Feel free to comment on it, anywhere.
The crafting room is one of her stops, in a sort of restless motion. She can sew, but she's never really bean an artsy type? Still, she's...a little curious, to try and make something small. Maybe she can sew Chip up something, she can manage that.
Eventually she switches to investigating this room. With so many odds and ends, there's got to be something in here. Maybe to check the kiln, or the spools of string? Find some kind of hidden passage...?
As the evening approaches, she'll be around the spa room, tempted to give it a genuine shot.
While looking through the various lotions and...perhaps playing with the hot tub, a little, Thalia almost idly asks anyone who's around a question that may seem out of left-field: ]
What's your thoughts on love and romance?

Tuesday
MOTIVE: Person or Persons Unknown
Already numbers here are vastly dwindling in this hotel. However, my benefactor has decided to up the stakes after last week’s case, since despite her best efforts, Tina never scared anyone enough to kill someone off. So they’ve decided to go in a more… meaningful direction this week.
[He gestures to the box full of envelopes.]
Inside each of these envelopes there’s a picture of someone dear to each one of you, be it a relative, a friend, or a mentor.
[There is a thoughtful pause as The Narrator looks at the box.]
There’s another catch. If no less than three people die by friday, well…
I can’t imagine anything good happening to them.
[And with that he’s gone. Each envelope has names of every living guest written on it, and, true to The Narrator’s words, has a candid photograph of the character’s loved one(s).]

If you aren't up as early, you'll find a small breakfast buffet in the dining area. There's pancakes, toast, various toppings, eggs, bacon, some sliced fruit, and coffee. Tadashi's still in the kitchen, jus tin case more food needs to be made. There's cloth wrapped around his right hand, but it's nothing important.]

Sally's lifeless corpse in the lobbythe entire hotel has been transformed.Everywhere they turn, there are brightly colored decorations. Streamers, balloons, garland and all sorts of other things adorning every wall and surface. Everyone's room door has a different funny face. And the lights! There are candles everywhere burning in bright shades of orange, purple and green. Occasionally, you might come across something that's frankly terrifying hiding in the more secluded corners, but almost everything here gives off an atmosphere of fun and friendliness.
A word of warning, though: every now and then opening a door will result in a skeleton popping out.
If you're looking for the person responsible, you'll find her in the library. Despite probably being up all night to complete this, Sally doesn't look tired at all. In fact, she looks much more chipper than she did yesterday, and amazingly, free of bloodstains. She's sitting at the desk reading an instructional book.
Later, Sally steals away back to her room. She leaves the door cracked, and if you peek inside you might spot her opening the closet. On a shelf is the motive photo of Jack she received yesterday, surrounded by candles and some heart-shaped trinkets she must have made during her wild decorating spree. With her head in her hands (not literally), she sighs longingly at the photo.]

Later on, though, she can be found for a fair portion of the day in the craft room, sketching out a lot of... Roman-looking marble buildings? Come ask what they are! She can tell you!!

It didn't work. How unfortunate. But having a toolbox in the presence of two people with skills in this field can only lead to creations. Tadashi and Virgil have asked several people for their TVs--or acquired televisions by some means--and once they have several, they get to work. If you enter the lobby you'll find the end result.
It seems to be some sort of...mismatched television tower set? TVs on top of TVs, screens pointing at several directions at once, it's like a tree. Several of the screens are playing the Muppet Treasure Island movie, while others just display blank screens. Despite how utterly useless this pile of junk is, the two seem satisfied with their creation.]
Technically we didn't dismantle anything. The Narrator can't say we disobeyed him.
Too bad it just plays the same thing over and over.

before Rod decides to dismantle it!](no subject)

So shortly after taking the rest of his items up to his room, he emerges again with suspiciously wet eyes to pretty much dash up and down the hallways, pulling aside literally anyone he runs into and shoving his phone in their face to show off his boys.]
Hey-- look! These are my nephews, the ones I've been talking about!
[Please be careful. He will absolutely go on for hours about each and every photo.
Later in the evening, he figures he ought to at least try to find someone to take the creepy looking eel, as well as someone who probably was closer to Merlin to take his pipe. So he sets them up on the dining room table, standing nearby in case anyone wants to claim them. It's the least he can do, letting people reclaim stuff that was probably important to them or someone close to them.]

Besides, it'll give him an excuse to wear it if only for when he decides to spend time in the kitchen next. He had mentioned to Thalia last week that he might try to make ramen, so that's exactly what he's doing. As such, anyone who comes into the kitchen might be able to try the shio ramen being prepared. It's a little saltier than most but hey, so is Joshua.
ba dum tishAfterwards, he can be found in the movie room watching more Twilight Zone. The strange envelope he got from the press has made him curious, but for now, he has it tucked in his pockets while he watches parts of the third season, such as A Game of Pool, Nothing in the Dark, or Person or Persons Unknown to name a few.]

Well, while it seems like the Narrator has kept himself extra scarce following the bloodbath on Tuesday, Ursula decides to take advantage. Anyone can watch her in the process of painstakingly hauling Flotsam's tank through the hallway, sloshing a bit of water as an even gait is impossible when you're her.
Soon enough, she reaches the pool, where she dumps a repurposed jar of some virulently green liquid. Now that it's been a while since there was a dead boy floating around in there, no one can question her, right? The water glows a bright aqua, temporarily making the interior of the pool crystal clear, before it dulls to a seafoam that darkens the deeper the water is. ]
There there, poopsie, Mummy made it all better. Go on, precious. Do you need help?
[ Flotsam shakes his head - he's just getting up the courage to take a leap of faith into whatever pool his mistress has made. Ursula finds it for him. ]
Then get in, Flotsam! Today!
[ And so, the great eel leaps from the tank, twisting through the air before splashing into the pool. Ursula watches at first with tense interest, then relaxes into smugness as she sees the eel twist his way down towards the depths. ]

She sorts through her things in the dining room, raising an eye at the...melted helmet, and setting down the pink puffy dress. It looks like it would've been Vanellope's size... Oh, that poor girl.
With a somewhat disgruntled expression, she also realizes there's one of those black flame candles. Ugh.
After, she's kind of idly working on things in the crafting room. Those things are outfits, for Chip! ...She's taken this and ran with it, really. Over the last few days, Thalia's gotten better and better at the small-clothes-making, easier for her than large-clothes-making. So far she's got an adventuring outfit, and a skirt, and a little bellhop outfit. She's trying to get the hat right on that one, hats seem to be a sticking point for her...
You know, between sewing, actually, she'll try some investigation of the crafting room? Let's take a look around the various things there. Any secrets?
Later in the lobby, she's tossing a can of mace up and down, with a small smirk. If you pass, she might flag you down. ]
Hey you! Wanna see something pretty cool?
[ A weapon in her hand? Oh, she seems a little more upbeat than she usually is. A little more natural. ]

investigating chapel
Hey, I haven't found any clothes that'll fit me, but if you're crafty I saw some fabric in the art room!
[Later, he can be found in the chapel. Just going through whatever books he can find, occasionally dragging one over to another (yes, on the floor) and comparing them.]
This doesn't make a lot of sense. But I guess I never really thought about it before...
[Talking out loud? A little. He does it a bit more, mostly trying to organize his thoughts as he takes it all down on paper, making some notes. Even if he does balk at...some of the stories]
How could anyone want to listen to someone like this!?!
[There's a point where he just gets frustrated and just. Starts seeing what else is in here]

Later on she heads to the penny press. She's sunk down onto the floor in front of it, and she sounds like she's crying. Upon closer inspection, she appears to be trying to write something with an old fashioned fountain pen but it makes no marks.
By late afternoon, she can be found at the memorial in the dining room, laying down the best looking of her flowers and an ugly looking doll.]
