Third Investigation

[Two people have already died this week, but no matter how you look at it, the requirements for The Narrator to call off the motive still haven’t been met yet. And with a motive that affects so many, it’s hard to believe that no one else will die this week.

At least, when everyone wakes up today, they’ll find that there’s absolutely nothing off with the second floor.

Amanda's Room

[Huh, the door is already unlocked.]

[The... rather morose announcement from the Narrator definitely captured the mood as Oswald felt it. He was horrified. Thalia, and Amanda? They were both just so... friendly. They knew about his world, and he always enjoyed talking to them.

It tears at him, but he knows he can at least leave the chapel to the others, so he goes off to check the rest of the building.... and finds Amanda's door.

He never really considered checking other people's rooms. But today, as he turns the knob, he finds it unlocked. It's concerning to say the least, and he slowly pushes the door open...]

[It definitely looks like a normal room, not like anyone went through it recently at least.

On her bedside table though, it seems like Amanda has gathered a small collection of stuff.]

[She wasn't in here last night then. It makes sense, in a sad way.

He steps in hesitantly... it's not like he really wanted to be in here, he felt kind of bad for doing so, even if there was an investigation in progress. But he's got to check things out, like that bedside table. What's so unusual about some stuff?]

[There are four items on the table: A note, a journal, a candle, and a pen. Is there anything Oswald would like to examine closer first?]

[....Well, he's going to leave the candle alone. For now, at least.

He'll try the note first. It seems possibly important.]

[It's a neatly typed note, that simply says:]

I imagine they will vanish from existence as well.

[.....That's not ominous at all.

He imagines there might be some kind of clue for this in the journal, so he'll go and check that out next.]

[It's open to a page with a photo of Oswald's daddy Walt pasted in. Under it is a list of six names, with something heavily crossed out under it.]

[Hmm, what are the six names?]

[ Lawrence Finnegan Whitman, Terrance Maybeck (Donnie), Dell Philby, Jessica Lockheart, Charlene Turner, and Isabella Angelo]

[...He hasn't heard of them, but he can piece together that these are probably Amanda's friends. "Kingdom Keepers" as it were.

...He had an inkling what the heavily written out spot on the page was too.

If there was nothing else of note in here, he'd be moving on again to the pen and candle. Y'know, for completionist sake.]

[The candle is black, like the one that apparently summons witches if you light it.

Please don't light it.

The pen, on the other hand, seems to be an accurate replica of Walt Disney's fountain pen.]

Yeah, he's totally ignoring the candle and checking out that pen. It does look like something Walt would use.

....Can he check and see if it works? He'll do that with another page of the journal.]

[...Huh. Alright then. He'll just pocket that, along with the other things.
