[Now that we've got that out of the way, it seems the participants are free to explore the manor at their leisure. The entire first floor is available to them at all times, and any attempts to maneuver outside or to a different floor will prove useless. Seems you're going to get very familiar with this area over the next week or so.

There may be something there that wasn't there before, namely, a set of rules posted next to the bios. Take heed of them, mortals. If you wish to have a private conversation with your Host, it's now entirely possible.

With all that in mind, exploring sounds like a good idea. Proceed with caution, mortals. There are no safety bars to be lowered here.]

Yeesh, I can imagine. Do you guys at least have a movie theater?

Of course we do. [they're not savages] My friends broke into it once.

...It was to see a movie, not anything serious.

Was it a good movie?

[ She's much less concerned with breaking and entering than she used to be, oops. ]

It got four thumbs up and a cloud of glitter. [Don't ask] So I think they liked it.

[She sighs.] man, I gotta go to the movies again.

Sounds like a ringing endorsement to me. [ She smiles. ] I'd say we should catch one, but... ghost murder mansion.

Yeah? Sure, if we somehow get out of here alive, I'd be down for a movie. [It's a date.]

How's that food coming along?

Food! Right.

[ What a good distraction, um! She stirs it some more. ]

It's getting there. I need to cut up some... cabbages!

[ She moves to grab some. ]

They really stocked this place up pretty well, between this and the vending machine. Have you had a chance to use that thing yet?

Yeah, food. [The best thing to find in the kitchen. Wendy smiles as though nothing is the matter.]

It's kinda surprising how well ghosts can stock shelves, right? Way better then I did at my job. [Like she ever...] Uh, no. I guess between everyone I've been hanging with, I just haven't gotten the chance to check it out yet. I've heard some pretty cool stuff can come out of it though.

Yeah! I got uh... some kind of gross candy, a... just a cooked turkey leg? And a pizza, and this weird fake window, and an axe of all things. Because you know, putting weapons in there is a great idea.

Well that's-whoa! Whoa! [Time out, sister!] Did you say an axe? Did you get an axe out of the machine?

[tangerinetrees]

Yeah? I mean... it's not a battleaxe or anything, but still definitely something I don't like coming out of there. Why?

[kindaruledatit]

Is it like... ye-big?

[she mimes the size of what a hand axe should be.]

[tangerinetrees]

That looks about right, yeah. Why?

Dude! That's my axe!

[tangerinetrees]

Your axe? You just... have an axe?

[ Blink. Blink. ]

Oh right, freaky woods. Well, if you stir the tempeh for a sec I can go grab it for you.

[kindaruledatit]

Yeah, dude! My dad runs a logging camp and stuff. Lumberjack-ing is kind of in my blood.

[Though you'd be darned to see her wanting to actually do it...]

You'd do that? Totally! [She hops down. She'll stir your tempeh, Karolina.]

For sure! Back in a flash.

[ And as soon as she is On That, stirring-wise, Karolina will jog back to her room to grab the axe. And it's not long before she's running back in. ]

One axe, coming up!

[When Karolina comes back the KITCHEN IS A COMPLETE ME-No, actually everything looks as good as when she left.

Wendy's gonna give her a bit of room because wow running with an axe, but she happily accepts it back when it's given to her.]

Oh man...! Yeah, this is totally mine! [hmm] How the heck did it get in that slot machine?

[tangerinetrees]

[ Yeah that was... probably not the best move, but she's excited to get it back to her! ]

I don't know. There's all kinds of stuff in there, but... no matter what, if it's yours, you can have it back.

[kindaruledatit]

Awesome. Maybe I'll see if I can hack through one of the doors around here. [Collateral damage is rarely a concern for Wendy.

She slides the axe into a loop on her jeans.]

Well, can't exactly complain. Dunno how much use an axe will be against a ghost though.

Yeah, they're usually pretty axe-proof. Maybe they're all like... bound to something you can break? "Oh no, you've destroyed our tombstone!"

[kindaruledatit]

...Isn't there, like, a graveyard outside?

[oooooooh]

Yeah, but we can't exactly... get out there. ... Do you think the axe could break the windows?

[kindaruledatit]

Not if we don't try. [wink!] I think it's definitely worth a shot if it means we can totally escape this place.
