[Well, someone took the bait last week, and now two people (if either of them could really be called a person) are dead. Not only that, it seems like your first host is now out of commission and replaced by someone who claims to be The Phantom. While he may not be incredibly worse than Facilier yet, it would be a stretch to say he's an improvement.

But, things aren't all bad! When the guests wake up on Sunday, they will find the stairs in the foyer are now open, leading to a whole new floor to explore!

And there's booze so no one will have to drink vinegar anymore.

Arts and crafts round 2!

[psychopinesis]

[Neku actually discovered the art room yesterday, but at that point he'd stayed in there, grabbing a canvas and testing out markers and pencils and generally just looking through all the room had to offer.

Today, he's redecorating again, since apparently the host doesn't appreciate his attempts at making things look more like home, but this time he's armed with Actual Paint and Actual Paintbrushes. And today, his art isn't confined to his door and he's going to different parts of the living quarters and decorating everything else instead. Feel free to join him or tell him off for vandalism. He doesn't care either way.

Later, after he's sufficiently painted everything (and after a shower), he'll be in the music room, messing around with the instruments. He doesn't know how to play any of them, but it's not stopping him from trying, especially if the instruments have strings.]

[Louis is coming back from a kitchen run--thank God he can finally get it by himself--when he notices Neku painting the doors. He watches him for a few moments, stuffing popcorn into his mouth.]

Whatcha doin' there? Looks cool.

[psychopinesis]

Painting? Every time I do anything to this hallway, it disappears the next day. They've gotta get tired of removing it eventually.

[But maybe it'll stay this time, since it's real paint and therefore looks a little better.]

Hmmm...

[He scrutinizes the painted doors for a minute. He pokes it, getting wet paint on his finger.]

I don't think it'd be easy to remove this kinda paint from wood. Maybe you should stick around and see if anyone tries to do that?

[He's not suggesting Neku watch paint dry, but...]

You're right. The other paint would've washed right off, but this stuff might stick around longer. Eugh.

[He meant to tap a drier swath of paint and ends up with paint on his own fingers.]

I think this calls for a lot of coffee.

Y'think so? How long will it take for it to dry?

[Don't mind him, he's just going to dip his finger in some paint and start drawing smiley faces everywhere.]

What, are you gonna start paintin' the doors with coffee or somethin'?

Completely? An hour, maybe. A couple if it's thick.

[He would not like to watch paint dry, he'd find something to do while he waited.]

What? No, that'd be weird...and a waste of coffee. I'm going to stay up and see if I can catch whoever attempts to remove the paint from the walls.

Ohhhh. If you want, I can stay with you and help keep you up! No one messes with a gator.

Then, they, um, probably already know I'm not too tough. [NERVOUS LAUGHTER]

If you want, you're welcome to.

[Don't worry, Louis, he'll protect you.]

You could pretend to be tough, that might help. I mean, you're bigger than everyone here...except the bear dude or whatever he is...and have a ton more sharp teeth.

That's...that's true! I just gotta look and sound intimidating.

[He's already standing up a little straighter. He clears his throat and lets out a rather loud gator growl. hear it hurgling]

How's THAT for intimidating?

[It sounds like a cross between a lion and a toilet tank.

But it's intimidating enough to startle Neku into stepping back a bit.]

That's...pretty good. I don't think we'd be talking right now if you'd done that when we first met.

Heh, thank you! Uh...that's sort of the reason why I don't do that most of the time. I-I mean, when people get scared, they pull out their g-guns.

...No one has a gun yet, right?

Not that I know of. Even if someone did, I'd be surprised if they had ammo for it. Our 'hosts' apparently don't like giving us very many useful things.

[Besides things mildly useful in staving off boredom, and murdering people in horrible ways.]

Oh, good.

[Even just the sight of a gun is enough to make Louis hysterical.]

I mean, they gave Rocket those weird-lookin' glowy things? Dunno how he's gonna be able to use them, but we got quite a few people here who can tinker with stuff.

Here's to hoping he uses whatever those are for something good and not on anyone here. And something tells me a lot of people haven't even seen a gun, let alone pointed it at anyone.

[Pinocchio, Noby, Minnie, and anyone about the size of a gun itself come to mind. And Louis, of course.]

Y-Yeah. That's fair.

Uh, to be honest, I'm most worried about that Gaston fella...he, um, well, you saw how he was actin' during the t-trial. And he's a hunter. Who knows how to use a gun.

[psychopinesis]

He would've gotten rid of anyone he actually felt threatened by by now...I don't think we have to worry about him too much, as long as he's focused on the other guy...

[Unless, of course, he goes crazy and goes after everyone with a knife.]

He is a complete moron, though.

That's fair, that's fair, but...still. What's stoppin' him from makin' an example out of any of us? Especially, um, some of the smaller animals.

[Louis rolls his eyes.]

You can say that again. Downright disrespectful, at that. Wish someone could knock him down a peg, y'know?

Uh...not a lot, really. But I don't think he'll try anything when there's at least ten people who would attack him for it.

[Some of them are under 16, but whatever.]

I wonder if he's given anyone a reason to deck him in the face yet.

Hmph. I can think of plenty, off the top of my head. Not...not that I'd try and punch him. He's probably way stronger than me and could twist me into a knot. [He shudders.]

Hey, maybe you could take one for the team and do it.

Uh, no? He'll punch me back, across the room.

...Okay that's fair.

What if...all of us just piled on him at once. He can't be that strong, right?
