[Once again the stretching room descends and the Hatbox Ghost seems impatient.]

Ugh where's that Serling guy's stupid death elevator when you need it? This is taking forever.

[But soon enough you arrive in the trial room, now with Freddie and Jyn's voodoo dolls on their podiums. And your 100% new friend Hatbox Ghost is there too!]

If you guys don't all die next week, I'm installing the death elevator.

[At this point it almost seems redundant to fluff this with optimism Since it would be more of a shock at this point if nothing bad or weird happened on Friday. Still, it seems eerily quiet today, almost normal, in a sense.

But hey, on the bright side, no one is waking up to screaming today! That’s nice c:

I think I need a new angle for these speeches. Spice things up a little.

[His voice suddenly goes deeper and more ominous.]

Picture of Princess Ariel, a woman with a zest for life up until her untimely death. She was someone who wanted to see the good in most people, and because of that, she was well liked by even some of the most jaded people here. But even then, that couldn’t save her as she left her room today only to find herself trapped in an unending nightmare in… The Randall Rech Zone.

[... Yeah ok then.

As usual, there’s a new voodoo doll for The Beast, Molly, Marco, and Ariel as Randy looks expectantly as the guests.]

What do you think? I want your honest opinions.

[Hey you wanted to sleep in today, forget the fact that someone could very well die this week? Well too freaking bad. Everyone’s sleep today is rudely interrupted by a piercing shriek that’s suddenly cut off right outside the bedrooms.

… I mean at this point it’d just be rude to not Investigate.]

[personal profile] grimgrinningghosts
[Well this is all starting to feel incredibly routine. After being trapped here for a month and a half with no sign of rescue, maybe you have just resigned to the idea that you'll never leave this place and that people will keep dying until none of you're are left.

Truthfully, I can't even pretend to make an optimistic about any of this. it's a dark and horrid world you all live in.

There are no new floors today. It seems you finally have access to the whole mansion.

[You wake up and find out that your bff necklace from Randy in pieces. Any relief that might have come from the loss of this painful gift is overshadowed by a simple fact: someone is probably dead now.

There’s no point trying to be optimistic. At this point you’re probably well aware that nothing good could possibly happen on a Friday.

Do you want to investigate?]

[. . . Well last week sure was a bloodbath. A bloody, accidental bloodbath. Even with two groups trying to save you, it might start to feel doubtful that you'll ever get out of here alive. Not to mention that Randy almost killed you all on an angry whim and you're still stuck in this madhouse with him of all people.

But hey, there's a silver lining to every cloud! You get a new floor that's not a nightmarish deathscape! Aren't you glad?

[Well today was a disastrous bloodbath, and it's not even half over. But hey, at least Randy seems to be his normal "chipper" self as he does his speech!]

Our tour begins here in this gallery where you gaze upon the sweet innocence of youth. Ah, but things are not always as they seem. Can it be this room is actually stretching? And notice this: this chamber has no windows and no doors, which offers you this chilling challenge… to find a way out.

Of course, there’s always my way.

[As always, there's a lit candle and a voodoo doll to the newly fallen members of your group. Randy, as normal, doesn't seem affected at all by the bloodshed.]

You really know how to spoil a guy, don't you?

[Well good news for everyone, when you wake up this morning the elephants are gone. And even better news, everything on the first floor seems completely normal! Still, even the most optimistic of those living might be uncertain that nothing at all is awry.

But who knows! Maybe Randy decided to give you a break this week because you're all his friends!

Want to Investigate anyway?]

[...So that was a mess. All of it was a mess, and things don't look to be improving any time soon. With tensions at an all-time high and conditions worsened, it seems pretty safe to say that this whole week promises a great deal of foreboding atmosphere.

But, hey, things aren't entirely bad. Just as Randall promised, you're now able to leave the Manor!

Just don't stay out there for too long. There's still a lot of you, and you just can't afford to lose numbers.

[ Another week, another horrible sight to see. Another child dead.

Last week, Kim had spent the majority of her time crying in her room. This week, she- ...okay, she definitely cries, but she refuses to do so alone. An hour or so after the trial, notes are slipped under everyone's doors, written in her neat, curvy handwriting. ]

If you don't want to be alone right now, come to the dining room. We will have food. Don't shoulder this on your own.
- Kimberly, Lekmet, Marco, Rocket

[ There's an extra note on Beast's: ]

Please bring the mirror. I think everyone would benefit from talking to those we've lost again.

[ This is becoming painfully routine. Around the dining room, there are signs set up - courtesy of Rocket - that say NO DUCKS ALLOWED. In the dining room itself, there's a variety of foods set up. Various soups, vegetables, chicken nuggets- basically just things so people have something to eat, if they need it. Some simple sandwiches. Thank Lekmet. Marco's provided a rainbow cake. ...And also courtesy of Rocket, there's...booze.

Sorry, Mr. Arrow. ]

[You're starting to get used to this routine, even if the deaths still might be taking a toll on you.

The floor descends once more as Randall does his speech.]

[The floor stops once more and opens to the trial room. As usual, Jane and Mr Arrow's podium now has a lit candle and a voodoo doll of themselves resting on top.

Randall is already standing in the middle circle, this time sans Facilier head.]

[Two more people died this week. Two children. And they died because of a freak accident. Despite all your protests, Randall refused to let Jane get away despite being innocent.

But there is a tiny ray of hope now, which comes in the form of the mirror. Now that the mirror is public information, you can see people you care about, even if they are dead and trapped in hell. Not only that, but you now now that someone is trying to save you all from the predicament that you're in. And this time there's a good chance that he won't turn out to be a heartless mass murderer!

Still, the ideas for the plan are vague and you have no idea when you will actually get out. It's hard to keep up hope when your only chance of living might still end with you horribly killed, isn't it?

At least you have a new floor and the ability to wash your clothes now.

[You wake up and almost instantly notice that the thumping has stopped. Maybe a wave of relief washes over you or maybe you’re confused, but one thing seems immediately clear, it doesn’t seem like the monster is here anymore.

The problem is that something also feels deeply wrong when you wake up. Sure, nothing is wrong with the bedroom you’re currently residing in, but as soon as you leave the comfort of your bedroom it should be abundantly clear that something happened last night.

[Well, someone took the bait last week, and now two people (if either of them could really be called a person) are dead. Not only that, it seems like your first host is now out of commission and replaced by someone who claims to be The Phantom. While he may not be incredibly worse than Facilier yet, it would be a stretch to say he's an improvement.

But, things aren't all bad! When the guests wake up on Sunday, they will find the stairs in the foyer are now open, leading to a whole new floor to explore!

And there's booze so no one will have to drink vinegar anymore.

[Once you make your way to the portrait gallery, Facilier's snarky voice chimes in as per usual.]

One of you folks actually went and did it. Not surprised: they always do. Besides, if you were gonna kill someone, the grandma ain't a bad start. Figure it this way: how many of you actually liked her?

[Suddenly, the whole room seems to move downwards. The walls get longer, and the ceiling grows further away from you. The portraits themselves seem to extend, as the room moves downwards at a startling pace.]

Things are not always as they seem, gentlemen. Can it be this room is actually stretching? And notice this: this chamber has no windows and no doors, which offers you this chilling challenge… to find a way out. Of course, there’s always our way.

[Suddenly, the floor stops. A new door opens at the side of the room.

Inside is what appears to be an old voodoo shop, covered in various artifacts and an unsettling large voodoo head at the back of the room. There is a summoning circle painted into the floor with a deep red paint. Each of you has a place within this circle, with a wooden podium marked with your room number waiting for you there. Podium 26 has a single candle lit aflame, as well as what appears to be a voodoo doll of Madame Mim stuck to the top of it.

Light music plays in the background.

Once you all take your place, Facilier himself appears within the middle of the circle, out of a cloud of smoke.]

You're here to figure out who did this. Once you have a hunch, you can feel free to write it down on the podium in front of you, but there are no takebacks. Majority rules, and your participation is mandatory.

'Course, you have all the time you need, if you want it.

[Something is immediately off when you wake up. Namely, that you wake up and find that the curse that was placed upon you on Tuesday has been lifted. Whatever joys you might derive from that fact are few, as the implications of it soon start to set in.

Only one way to find out.

[A whole week has come and gone. To the who, unknown to all the guests, are currently watching this, they would know by now that things are about to get much worse from here. However, to the guests, this might seem like a good sign. Even with all the questionable people already debating murder (I'm looking at you Hiro), no one has done it yet. Maybe everyone can find a way out of here without resorting to violence and murder?

... Look, we can dream, can't we?

[Well that was a busy day, huh? But despite all that, a good majority of you are reasonable people, and are smart enough to find an escape without resorting to deadly violence. Maybe if you put your heads together, you'll find a way to get out of here! After all, the host is practically in shambles already, what can he do?

The whole first floor of the manor is open for your leasure now, with the only change being that there's now a set of rules in the foyer hanging on the wall.

Let the games begin.]
