Week 7
[Well this is all starting to feel incredibly routine. After being trapped here for a month and a half with no sign of rescue, maybe you have just resigned to the idea that you'll never leave this place and that people will keep dying until none of you're are left.
Truthfully, I can't even pretend to make an optimistic about any of this. it's a dark and horrid world you all live in.
There are no new floors today. It seems you finally have access to the whole mansion.

In the morning, Louis can be found in the bar, uncorking some bottles of wine and sniffing them. Occasionally, he'll pour a little bit out into a glass and taste test it. Maybe if Kit was still alive, he'd be able to tell him which ones were the fanciest and most expensive. If he spots anyone pass by, he'll wave to them and ask:]

[Once he's selected his drinks, he makes his way over to the pool, where he has haphazardly taped together some kickboards into some sort of floating wine tray, filled with fancy cheese and a few bottles of wine. He's floating on his back, trumpet in hand as he carefully sips a glass of red wine. Fancy gator stuff.]

Later, now that the place is sufficiently decorated and looking a little less bleak, Marco can be found in the cafe. He's sitting at one of the tables with a pot of coffee next to him as he's sewing something together. On the table next to the pot of coffee and his cup is a stack of cut out fabric, and anyone familiar with clothing patterns can notice that it looks like he's making a suit. Aaaaand it looks like he just pricked himself with the needle. For the tenth time.
Finally, Marco can be found hovering around the front door. He keeps reaching out to grab the door knob, and letting go as if he just can't decide if he wants to go outside or not. But pretty soon he'll notice someone in the vicinity and he reaches out to them, waving them over.]
Hey, have you been outside yet? Is it really as bad as some people have said...?

This one is boring. No friendship necklaces or parties. It’s, y’know, a generic “I’ll kill your family and friends and if they’re already dead I’ll wipe them off the ethereal plane” if you don’t do anything kinda deal. Sad. I’ll try to be more fun, friends.

And then he'd been brutally attacked by that entire terrible family. He'd been weak enough from the lack of food the week before, with Leia refusing to cook even one meal for him even after he'd asked so nicely, that he'd been bested by a man old enough to have one foot in the grave. Once he'd woken up after that mortifying incident, he'd kept to himself for a day or two, nursing his injuries.
The motive, and the picture that had come with it, isn't even worth thinking about. Obviously there had been some terrible mix-up, with the picture showing Lefou instead of Belle. As if he cares what happens to that traitor!
Oh well. If nothing else, there's always gambling. He'd won quite a bit at the casino and is currently in "his" tavern, where he'd decorated further by laying out the lion skin as a rug. He's drinking the rum, taking morose bites of the pear, and idly picking the last of the petals off the dying rose and watching them fall, one by one. ]

a few tables in the dining room have been pushed aside, leaving enough room for a sheet and a bunch of pillows. she has a bowl of popcorn. she has the traditional bottle of hot sauce. she's in her gay fish sweater, which is her pajamas now. she's ready.
she'd slipped an invite under Randy's door. she'd hooked Basil into her crazy scheme. all that was left was to see if he took the bait.]

Marco's room
Maybe if he could just revive him right there, restore all the missing parts and bring him back like nothing happened? He has to try it now. A golden glow surrounds his hooves, soon coming into contact with Marco's shoulder and broken right arm. His determination is starting to pull through, and--
...Nothing happens.
There's a short, pained sound from somewhere, and a moment later he realizes it came from himself. Not yet...Not yet. With shaking hooves, he closes the kid's eyes, wraps the curtain carefully like some goddamn, fucked up burrito, then places a blanket over him. Just like he's sleeping, and that way, the blood and what remaining guts won't leak and get everywhere. There isn't much of him left.
He cleans up a little more, making sure the scene is pristine as it can get. Finally after a lengthy period of silence and grief, he finally breaks down sobbing by Marco's bedside.
He was the closest thing to a son Lekmet had.]

MARCO'S WAKE

When people arrive, they'll find that all the mirrors in the house have been covered up using bedsheets, spare blankets...anything Stan could find. Leia doesn't pretend to understand the tradition, but it's important to Stan, and it might align with some of the others' beliefs, as far as she knows.
She's borrowed Marco's portrait from the foyer, and it's propped up on a table, surrounded by whatever candles she could find, lit up in tribute. The letter Freddie had found in his room is folded in front of the portrait, if anyone might find it soothing to read his final words.
Another table is loaded down with almost all the food Leia could find in the kitchen, all dishes that are easy to make for large groups of people: mashed potatoes, pasta, roasted vegetables, cold cut sandwiches, cheese and crackers. At the end of the table is a big bowl of punch, which is non-alcoholic and will be closely monitored for potential spikers throughout the evening.
Today was rough. Come lean on your friends' shoulders and grieve Marco together.]

Mabel doesn't hide herself away, though. Instead she plops herself once more in the sewing room, and will once again gear up to work on making gifts for everyone.

She's a bit more subdued whenever someone walks in on her than she was last week, and the pile of knitted Somethings next to her is a bit less violently colorful... but there's still a lot of it there. She's been working hard, and it doesn't look like she's stopping anytime soon.]

[He's feeling...about one percent better than yesterday. For one, he sped up his own concussion recovery so he can process his grief better. He's going to need it, since he's back in Marco's room to uh- reduce the smell of death and dying. If the body's still there, even. If not, he's. well.
His hallucinations fill in the rest, a vision where Marco's just asleep and resting. Everything's fine and there's totally not a trace of blood left. Right? Right????? This isn't healthy at all, but at least those things aren't vehemently mocking him this time. It's almost comforting.
It's not good. He retrieves back Star's spellbook and takes a magical staff with him. He'll practice on his kids' behalf, now that he vaguely knows Randy's weakness. It made sense to him, since he's experienced the Outside firsthand.
Next, he's in the gym, casting a couple of spells like a basic fireball volley. See, he can do other stuff than healing! He only looks uncomfortable since he's using it with the intent to harm or defend. And the fact his concussion started with a stupid target practice session. This goes on for awhile.
Much later he's at the casino, having received an Enchanted book from the slot machine. Great! More magical artifacts! He's going to warp to different areas of the Manor, and maybe mess with others while he goes to town with it.]

[He's set up a nice, neat table for three in the coffee shop. Lekmet's on a roll today, having cooked dinner for their date and prepared an ice cream cake. He had slipped personal, handwritten invitations under both Louis' and Minnie's doors that simply say:

Pleased with himself, you can find Stan himself wearing his bright pink sweater from Mabel in the art room working on the most important part of any campaign: posters. They say, of course, "YES WE STAN" and "STAN'S YOUR MAN."
He puts one of these posters on the door to Gaston's room, and one of them in the bar - not directly in Gaston's corner, but directly in the line of sight from it.
And of course, a couple posters go up near where he's going to deliver his speech. He turns up in his full suit, fez and all, his hair brushed and beard groomed as best as he could without committing all the way to a haircut or shaving.
...You can probably blame his campaign manager for cleaning him up.]
You probably think this whole election is stupid. But remember just whose stupid idea it was to have a stupid election. I promise, if you vote for me and not for the guy who had this dumb idea in the first place, there will be no more dumb elections.

As with the Beast's deathday celebration, there's plenty of meat and beer as refreshments, with banners hung and streamers draped over the antlers on the walls. One of Stan's posters has been repurposed into a mudslinging anti-Stan poster, complete with an angry-looking Stan with devil's horns and pitchfork. "STAN'S YOUR MAN" now reads "STAN'S YOUR MANGY OLD UNCLE."
Gaston's own posters are an eclectic mix of French and American patriotism, with lots of red, white and blue (or blue, white and red). He's running on a pro-voting, pro-military, pro-Gaston platform. ]
