[Well this is all starting to feel incredibly routine. After being trapped here for a month and a half with no sign of rescue, maybe you have just resigned to the idea that you'll never leave this place and that people will keep dying until none of you're are left.

Truthfully, I can't even pretend to make an optimistic about any of this. it's a dark and horrid world you all live in.

There are no new floors today. It seems you finally have access to the whole mansion.

He said it was his favorite when I asked him.

[Hiro shrugs. The usual offering would be oranges - mikan were sort of like oranges, anyway - but it had seemed important to ask Marco what his favorite fruit was. The oranges wouldn't have the same meaning as something Marco actually liked.]

I don't know what to say to people when they're mourning. [because she's totally not mourning herself right]

Usually, people say stupid shit. Y'know, it's all. [Hiro puts an arm on Freddie's shoulder and looks her straight in the eyes, imitating some of the people he didn't even recognize who came to Tadashi's funeral.] "I'm sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine how hard this must be on you - you two were very close."

... I think I'd give a right hook to somebody who said that to me.

Is there anything not awful you're supposed to say?

I - [He lets his hand drop away.] I dunno. I always liked when people told me their favorite thing about the person. Their real favorite thing, none of this "he was so smart" or "she was so nice" bullshit, you know?

... Of all the people here who told me we're gonna get out of this place alive, he's the only one who ever made me really believe it. Or at least want to believe it. He always acted like once he said something was true, it had to be.
