Week 7
[Well this is all starting to feel incredibly routine. After being trapped here for a month and a half with no sign of rescue, maybe you have just resigned to the idea that you'll never leave this place and that people will keep dying until none of you're are left.
Truthfully, I can't even pretend to make an optimistic about any of this. it's a dark and horrid world you all live in.
There are no new floors today. It seems you finally have access to the whole mansion.

[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY]
[Don't forget to fill out this week's Activity Check!]

[Oof! She just drops herself right into his lap, and does as he says.]
Whatcha gunna do?
no subject
[He puts the pins down in a pile next to him, and takes up the hairbrush, giving it a spin like a cowboy with a revolver to show her what he's got.]
You'll see.
[He starts at the crown of her head and runs the brush through her long hair, sticking out his tongue in concentration as he carefully parts it down the middle (despite her hair trying to insist on being off-center).]
no subject
Oooh, are you gunna braid it?? I didn't know you could do stuff like that, Grunkle Stan!!
no subject
I'm a sailor, ain't I? It ain't that different from ropes.
[He twists the braid together on this side strand by strand, weaving in more hair as he goes. Despite his arguably terrifying "qualifications," his braiding doesn't feel like it's in danger of tying her hair into knots.]
no subject
But thry're still different things! Where'd you learn how to do this stuff?
no subject
[He says, teasingly. He's trying to go as fast as he can because he's still got one whole other braid to do.]
I mighta gotten some tips from Leia.
no subject
She taught you this stuff?? Does that mean you've been doing her braids before today???
no subject
Calm down, ya little gremlin.
Never did one that she wore out in front of people, but... She let me practice on her a little.
[He finishes that braid down to the end, pinches the end with a pin, and then carefully winds the whole thing into a big thick braided earmuff on the side of her head. He pins it down as he goes, so that it's not moving even with her being rambunctious.
Then, pleased with that one, he starts trying to start the other side in the same place.]

Also boy it's good that Mabel's not a few more years into her teenage phase or else he'd ve getting some wiggling eyebrows right about now.]
Whoa... you're doing something really fancy, huh?
[She can't see yet, but she can feel how the weight of all that braided hair is making her head tilt just a little...]
no subject
Thought you'd like having a little princess 'do for a while.
[He hmms as he falls into the rhythm of braiding the other side.]
no subject
Princesses wear their hair like this?? Pff, you BET I wanna wear it like this!! I'll never take my hair outta these braids!
[... but one night of sleep will probably undo this pretty quick]
no subject
You'll have to ask Lei' how good a job I did.
[The second one goes a little quicker than the first, now that he's used to the weight of working with Mabel's thick, curly Pines hair, and in no time he's pinning it into an earmuff like the other side.]
There ya go, Pumpkin.
no subject
Gimme a mirror!! Or something like it! I wanna see!!
no subject
He finds a mirror or something like it, and holds it up for her.]
Well? How'd I do?
no subject
It's perfect.
no subject
Good, I'm glad ya like it.
