Week 7
[Well this is all starting to feel incredibly routine. After being trapped here for a month and a half with no sign of rescue, maybe you have just resigned to the idea that you'll never leave this place and that people will keep dying until none of you're are left.
Truthfully, I can't even pretend to make an optimistic about any of this. it's a dark and horrid world you all live in.
There are no new floors today. It seems you finally have access to the whole mansion.

[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY]
[Don't forget to fill out this week's Activity Check!]

Later, now that the place is sufficiently decorated and looking a little less bleak, Marco can be found in the cafe. He's sitting at one of the tables with a pot of coffee next to him as he's sewing something together. On the table next to the pot of coffee and his cup is a stack of cut out fabric, and anyone familiar with clothing patterns can notice that it looks like he's making a suit. Aaaaand it looks like he just pricked himself with the needle. For the tenth time.
Finally, Marco can be found hovering around the front door. He keeps reaching out to grab the door knob, and letting go as if he just can't decide if he wants to go outside or not. But pretty soon he'll notice someone in the vicinity and he reaches out to them, waving them over.]
Hey, have you been outside yet? Is it really as bad as some people have said...?
front door
...Sorry- Didn't mean to yell. But yes, it's bad. Really, really bad. Worse than pink elephants- they never stop, even after a body's been found. It's deathly cold out there as well.
[He was relatively calm earlier, now he's super distressed and fidgety.]
someone let lekmet rest
[Marco looks surprised at Lekmet's sudden outburst, and he looks back over to the door.]
What if I step out for like, five minutes? Ten minutes, tops.
never
[MMMMMM BOY]
If you really, really have to I'd say a minute, hell even five seconds. I'd rather you not at all, but I'm not going out there again to stop you anytime soon-.
[The last bit was super quiet, but boy does the Outside set him off]
no subject
It's not like I have to go out there, I'm just curious. It's the only place I haven't been to yet... but it sounds like it's for the best.
[He definitely doesn't want to relive anything similar to the pink elephant incident.]
no subject
I mean- I can open the door. It's nothing but void and cold out there. It shouldn't affect you if you're still inside.
[The whispers are starting up again, heard only by him, but Lekmet ignores it.]
no subject
[HE DOESNT WANT YOU TO LIKE FREAK OUT OR SOMETHING]
If I really get curious I can just peek out the door myself.
no subject
[Goatdad will not hesitate to risk himself again, honestly. He and Soos barricaded that door some weeks back, but it's probably cleared long before he noticed.]
Make sure you put on a jacket or something if you peek- It seems underwhelming at first but it's awful cold!
no subject
[Marco gives Lekmet a small, thankful smile for the advice and he idly plays with one of the drawstrings on his hoodie.]
So... I don't think I really apologized for how I acted during the last trial. I was honestly freaking out at the idea of being a suspect and wasn't thinking clearly, so.. yeah. I'm sorry I snapped at you and then also... accused... you of murder......

You know it.
[Marco says that in a semi-frustrated sounding tone, as he pushes the needle through the fabric and gets himself again. Heck.]
Ugh, sewing stuff by hand is sooooo annoying. I don't know how anyone survived back before sewing machines were invented.
no subject
[actually y'know she's gonna steal some of his coffee and make this dinner and a show.]
You know they did invent thimbles eventually, right? They're not just for board games.
no subject
Well yeah but they're clunky and it's hard to hold a needle with one of those on!
[Pushing through again... aha! Look at him. He doesn't suck.]
Also what's with the "you kids these days" comment? Aren't you like.... around the same age as me?
[you look like it anyway]
no subject
Well, yeah, we're about the same age. But you're more like, y'know... [waves hand vaguely] Like Auradonian kids!
no subject
...Auradonian?

[it's definitely. some kind of an insult.]

She nods at Marco as she passes him on her way in, and then notices the trouble he's having with that needle, and she was planning on leaving, but...this poor kid. Someone save him.
She sits down across the table, coffee in hand.]
There's a machine in the sewing room that'd make that a hell of a lot easier, you know.
no subject
O-oh yeah.. yeah I saw one of those in there, but I have no idea how to use it.
[The only reason he knows how to sew by hand is because of Home Ec. class.]
...are you wearing something new today, by the way? I feel like I haven't seen that outfit on you before.
no subject
I promise you it's not half as hard as it looks. It's far less advanced than the ones in my galaxy, and I still figured it out within ten minutes. And your fingers will thank you.
[Her mouth turns upward in a smile, and she nods.] Yes, actually. I made these myself, and I didn't have to bleed in order to do it.
no subject
Teach me your ways, O' Great and Wise General Leia.
no subject
Leia laughs into her coffee cup.]
Alright, alright. Just let me finish my coffee first, and I'll give you a sewing lesson.
no subject
[Marco clasps his hands together, looking he's been truly #blessed this evening.]
My hands thank you, too. I'm gonna need to get a lot of band-aids after I'm done here.
no subject
Don't worry, we'll make sure you're patched up. [Another long draw off her coffee cup, and she nods toward the door.]
Come on, let's get to it. Bring all your stuff with you.
A front door

[That sounds incredibly dumb Allene, but Marco looks genuinely curious about it.]
