Week 2
[A whole week has come and gone. To the who, unknown to all the guests, are currently watching this, they would know by now that things are about to get much worse from here. However, to the guests, this might seem like a good sign. Even with all the questionable people already debating murder (I'm looking at you Hiro), no one has done it yet. Maybe everyone can find a way out of here without resorting to violence and murder?
... Look, we can dream, can't we?
30 guests remain.]
[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY]
[OOC: Week 2 is live! Starting each week from now on, there will be an investigation each Friday with a trial each Saturday! And due to the nature of this week's motive, we already have details regarding the event for those who need it.
Your first Activity Check is also live which will be due 1/17/18 @ 1 PM EST. Besides that, feel free to submit any applicable threads to the slot machine for regains!]

Anyway, Louis is spending most of his morning in the casino, cashing in his coins at the slot machine. He's seen some other people get back some of their own stuff--he hopes to get his trumpet, hopefully. The restaurant poster is especially nostalgic, but he doesn't see much of a use for the rest of the items he recieves. And then--]
How in the hell did they fit an entire bathtub in there?!
[He's not going to dwell on it for long, though. He later acquires some bowls (and a bottle of Tabasco sauce) from the dining room to serve up some pipin' hot gumbo. If you want, you can come in and grab some, or take some of Louis's stuff.]

To clear her mind of all that, she takes a few tokens out to the slot machine and gets... oh. There's a creepy doll in there too, but she doesn't seem to notice, electing instead to just kind of... sit nearby for a while, holding a jacket and a cane. ]

and, well. it's a good haul. very good, if she may say so herself.
so obviously she's wearing the prince outfit, because wearing the same clothes every day for a week is terrible and she looks cute as hell in it. other than that, the only thing she's bringing out of her room is the plate of beignets.
so, today she's in the dining room, sitting in front of the plate with a look of tension and anxiety. does she eat them all at once, shoving literally the entirety plate in her mouth, but then having none after that? or does she savor them, which has the unfortunate side effect of not getting to eat them all at once immediately and also maybe somebody will steal them and she'll get none? how is she supposed to deal with this level of uncertainty?
she's been here like 35 minutes.]

But...there's not much they can do about it, can they?
First, he'll be found in the casino, using that slot machine cause he found a bunch of coins while he was searching all over for an exit. He'll get a lot of interesting things, with the most interesting thing being...]
...How did they get a goldfish in here?
[Seriously, ???
Anyway, later he'll be in the dining room, mainly looking at his newly acquired stuff and wondering what to do with it. Some of it he could just eat, like the candy heart that he's pretty sure he did eat, or the pile of spray cheese, but there's also a cup that looks like a bit of a souvenir of some sort? And a weird little doll of a mouse? It's really weirding him out.]

The result is a nice mix of things, some impossibly big and some confusingly placed, but she recognizes something in there- her very own clothes. ]
Oh...! Well, uh, at least I won't have to go around in just a leotard anymore...
[ That thinking's uncomfortable all at once; settling in here, it's not something she wants to think about.
So! She spends some time sorting her things in the casino. A large trunk of treasure sits where it was ejected, as she can't really move that one around, but. Maybe some of it belongs to someone else? ]

MONDAY

It helps him stay calm, after all.
Then there are the times he's not cooking, which are...much less fulfilling.
Sometimes they're spent in the casino. He is there, rolling the chips around and making towers with them, or playing solitaire -- very badly, because he doesn't know the rules very well. Watching him scurrying on the table, holding a card slightly bigger than him, is a bit entertaining, at least.
Other times he's at the foyer. The music from the bios is kind of nice, for the most part, but the song in his bio is the one that gets the most attention. One: it's in French, and therefore it makes him a bit nostalgic. Two...]
I don't know why or how, but it almost feels like this song really is about me!

So, come Monday, he's in the library, sitting in one of the chairs with a stack of books next to it. Don't be too excited about him gaining an interest in reading, as they all seem to be picture books.
Then, FINALLY, he will go to the foyer and look at all the bios, considering he's been here for over a week and he should really get to kn-]

TUESDAY
MOTIVE: Poor Unfortunate Souls
[Facilier’s announcement rings out loud and clear, and soon enough, everyone is assembled in the portrait gallery. He steps out from the shadows once again.
Somehow, he’s looking even more worse for than the last time you saw him. The flesh has stripped from his jaw, and about three fingers are missing from his right hand. Seems there’s a reason he hasn’t popped up much.
He smiles. A fly buzzes out from his cheekbone.]
Folks, you don’t seem to be taking what I said seriously. I mean, really, all this dillydallying and messing around? Not a professional way to look at this situation, if I do say so myself.
So, we’re gonna have a little incentive!
ARE YA READY~?!
[ARE YA READY]
ARE YA REEEEAAADDYYYYY~?
[Slowly but surely, the patrons of the room can feel themselves changing. Some more than others, but everyone can feel that something has happened to them.]
Each of y’all has been cursed, and unless one of you poor fools goes through with my demands by Friday, then you’re gonna be stuck like this for the rest of your miserable lives.
So have some fun with it, why don’t ya?
[The motive is detailed in the post linked in the log - everybody has personalized curses that will end Friday morning, though this is not IC knowledge.]

After the curses take hold, Mim- er, Merlin- Mermim? Mimlin? The old lady who was now an old man stomped off to parts unknown. Later in the day, however, a horrible burning smell wafts from the kitchen. The old hag is bent over a cooking pot (taking care to keep her beard from falling in), tossing in ingredients seemingly at random. There's already half a dozen tall glasses full of strange glowing liquids, and she ladles up another one- this one fizzing and smoking.]
You there! You want to get rid of this curse don't you? Then get over here and lend me a hand! One of these- [She gestures to the glasses of weird potions] -Should do the trick! Bottoms up!
[THIS WILL NOT LIFT ANY CURSES. Instead it may cause you to vomit rainbows, fart bubbles, talk like you've huffed a bunch of helium, or something else annoying and/or humiliating for a short period of time.
Because Mim is miserable and misery loves company.]

But he’s around later in the day... to some degree. When he does leave his room again, he... surprisingly, still doesn’t seem that different. He’s definitely quieter than before, though. He’s also got his hat tucked down low over his head for some reason, to the point that it covers most of his eyes. Given that he can’t really see where he’s going, it’s likely you’ll find him bumping into furniture, walls, and even people on occasion. He apologizes, at least, if he does run into anything or anyone.]

He's gone by every bio, pressing the button to start each song, and is now grumpily standing in front of them to see if the amount of noise makes any difference. It does not, and everything is just as quiet as it was after Facilier's announcement, but it makes him feel slightly better that it might be annoying anyone else in the vicinity.]

... There are so many fun things to do with invisibility! Heck yeah, this will be awesome!
So for the rest of the day, Mabel will be making the absolute best out of her current condition. First she'll be in the foyer, turning songs on and off in an attempt to find a pattern of sound that's suitably spooky. Then she's in the kitchen juggling (or attempting to at least, there's a lot being dropped) some of the silverware or a few apples or other things like that. Then, she heads to the casino, where she tries to stack all the cards and chips and dice in all the corners of the room. If someone's in there playing? She'll totally mess with them.
Really, if anyone's doing anything in those rooms, they'll probably feel some sort of weird presence, even if Mabel's not poking at them at the moment.]

He felt totally fine yesterday, and he woke up feeling totally fine today. Nothing was wrong with him physically -- no extra limbs, photorealistic Marcos, or second heads spouting out every insecurity he had this time. Besides a nagging feeling in his gut about something being off, he was a normal, average teenaged boy like usual.
So he goes about his day like a normal, average teenage boy would. Taking his notepad and pen with him as he writes notes about everyone and everything like he's been doing over the last week, and eventually he heads off to the kitchen to make something to eat. And that something of choice happens to be....... pizza.
A couple of pizzas actually 'cause if he's going to make one he might as well make enough for everyone. And if he notices anyone walking in he'll greet them with a smile and wave them over.]
Hey! Dinner's on Diaz tonight, so if you were coming in here to get something to eat look no further my friend.
[He's already got a couple pizzas in the oven as he's kneading dough for a new one.
And later that evening, after many a pizza has been had Marco can be found in the Library, though he's not here to read books.]
Susan? Nah, that's too normal.... Sunny? Sally?? S... Stroganof? Ugh, no! None of these sound right, Marco! That last one wasn't even a name!
[He's pacing back and forth, his notepad sitting on a table with a page of "S" names crossed out or circled.]

Well, now it's Wednesday, and he hasn't seen his niece in about 24 hours. And given that this is Murder Manor, he's. Well, he's freaking out a little bit.]
Mabel? Sweetie? You can come out now, this ain't funny...
[He checks the hall with the bedrooms, he checks the kitchen, and the foyer. He even checks the wax museum and the portrait room. Everywhere they can get to so far, he's lookin'.]
Hey! You seen my niece? She's about this tall, brown hair, brown eyes... [Shit, what else were you supposed to tell people about a missing kid?] Rrgh! She's been in this dumb can with us the last week, you know her! Mabel Pines!
