Week 2

[A whole week has come and gone. To the who, unknown to all the guests, are currently watching this, they would know by now that things are about to get much worse from here. However, to the guests, this might seem like a good sign. Even with all the questionable people already debating murder (I'm looking at you Hiro), no one has done it yet. Maybe everyone can find a way out of here without resorting to violence and murder?

... Look, we can dream, can't we?

30 guests remain.]

[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY]

[OOC: Week 2 is live! Starting each week from now on, there will be an investigation each Friday with a trial each Saturday! And due to the nature of this week's motive, we already have details regarding the event for those who need it.

Your first Activity Check is also live which will be due 1/17/18 @ 1 PM EST. Besides that, feel free to submit any applicable threads to the slot machine for regains!]

[god she's pretty sure she could watch this old lady be confused by a banana for hours.]

Do they not have fruit wherever you're from? [she supposes she could happen she didn't realize bananas weren't supposed to be black for like the first eight years of her life.]

[Leia turns, her expression still puzzled, and holds up the banana she's been studying, elbow propped on the table.]

They do, but nothing that looks like this. What is it?
faciliheir: (back this motherfucker out)

It's a banana. You know, tropical fruit. Eat it with ice cream. Cover it in chocolate and put it on a stick. Monkeys like them.

Do you guys seriously have crazy space technology, but you don't even have bananas.

[personal profile] hasit 2018-01-15 02:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Afraid not.

[Leia shrugs, and hands the banana over to the girl. Freddie, she thinks.]

Is there a way to peel it, or does it need to be cut open?
faciliheir: (just a little something we have here)

[personal profile] faciliheir 2018-01-16 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
You start at the little weird nub at the top, and then you just pull it down. [THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID RIGHT but no she just. shows how it goes.] Bananas aren't even in, like, the top five of fruits, but they're as good a place to start as any.

[hands back]

Oh, I see. It didn't seem like a good idea to just bite right down into it. I'm glad now that I didn't try.

[She takes the banana back and tugs the peel down a little further, then takes a bite.]

Huh. Not bad. We had similar fruits on Alderaan, actually.
faciliheir: (three chances to claim her)

[personal profile] faciliheir 2018-01-20 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Alderaan your, uh, "home planet" or whatever it's called? [aliens are new to her okay]

[personal profile] hasit 2018-01-20 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
...Yes, that's right. Do you not have a home planet? [Is the concept of planets just foreign to this girl????]
faciliheir: (slipping into the shadows)

[personal profile] faciliheir 2018-01-23 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
I mean, I guess, but it's not really I've ever had to think about before. Everybody I've ever known was just from some part of that planet, not from beyond the stars or something like that.

Fair enough. If that's all you know...it would be a little jarring to meet someone like me, who's traveled the galaxy for years on end.

It's another one of those things I'm trying really hard not to think too much about, just so my mind doesn't snap like a breadstick.

[KEEPIN IT ALL UNDER CONTROL HERE]

Still... It's gotta be real pretty, seeing all the stars up close like that. That was one good thing about the Isle-- it was so dark at night, you could see just about every star in the sky.

That's how I feel about all this...magic. Learning that it's real. Where I come from, with a few key exceptions, we're firm believers in science.

[The Force...it's like magic, but not quite.]

It is exceedingly beautiful. Something I took for granted when I was seeing it all the time, but here I miss it.
