Week 2
[A whole week has come and gone. To the who, unknown to all the guests, are currently watching this, they would know by now that things are about to get much worse from here. However, to the guests, this might seem like a good sign. Even with all the questionable people already debating murder (I'm looking at you Hiro), no one has done it yet. Maybe everyone can find a way out of here without resorting to violence and murder?
... Look, we can dream, can't we?
30 guests remain.]
[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY]
[OOC: Week 2 is live! Starting each week from now on, there will be an investigation each Friday with a trial each Saturday! And due to the nature of this week's motive, we already have details regarding the event for those who need it.
Your first Activity Check is also live which will be due 1/17/18 @ 1 PM EST. Besides that, feel free to submit any applicable threads to the slot machine for regains!]

[Louis squints a little, barely lifting his head off the ground.]
Are you sure that curse thing didn't affect your lying ability, too? If you've got trouble, lay it on me. I can take it.
no subject
[But he just frowns at Louis' prying. Apparently even without the Blue Fairy around he still can't get away with anything.]
...And I guess I've never been good at lying.
[And he pulls his hat off briefly, showing off his newly-acquired ears. spoiler alert: the boy's a goddamn furry]
Just don't tell anybody, okay? It's weird.
no subject
[smh couldn't have even been a scaley instead]
Oh. Don't worry, kid, my lips are sealed. At least it ain't as bad as what the others seem to have. Didya see what happened to Ariel?
no subject
[listen he didn't want to take Louis' place as the token scaley of the group]
Yeah, I guess they're okay as long as nothing else changes. [Okay compared to some other people, anyways.] It's just weird. They're way too furry.
...D'you really think anybody would kill just to get rid of all this?
no subject
Maybe you could wrap 'em around me like a toga or somethin'. I ain't got no thumbs to do it anymore.
Maybe? It depends..that Gaston fella looked pretty mad, last I saw him. [He's been trying to keep out of his way like...as much as possible.] Or maybe it's just makin' us easier targets for people who want to kill.
no subject
[Unless thumbs were a key part of Louis' self-defense plans.]
I guess these all just seem like they really have a point. I don't get why givin' me animal ears would matter to anybody.
no subject
Sure, we gators can bite down real hard, but you can still hold our jaws closed real easily. Here, come over and give it a shot.
Maybe it's just to embarrass you? I dunno. I don't see why turnin' me into this...thing would help.
no subject
[Or get hurt in turn. Those are a lot of teeth.]
And if that's what they're tryin' to do, they're doin' a good job of it.
[Though it'd be much worse if he's stuck this way when they go back home. He can't imagine how Jiminy would respond to seeing him like this.]
no subject
[Oh nooooo that's a little upsetting. He wishes he could pat Pinocchio on the back, so he just inches forward and rests a single gator paw on his shoe.]
Hey, hey, it's okay! Sometimes people just have animal ears and that's fine. Like Squirrel Girl! 'Cept her ears weren't real. Maybe you could say your ears are fake.
no subject
[...honestly the fact that Squirrel Girl's weren't real only makes it worse but. Thanks Anyways.]
And, yeah... maybe.
[But he thinks these ones look a little too real for that.
Either way, he sprints off before he really has to dwell on it and returns a minute or so later dragging a couple of blankets through the hallway.]
no subject
Oh! Wow! That's a lotta blankets. Just pile 'em onto my back or somethin'. Thanks a lot, kid.
[Depending on how many blankets Pinocchio has brought, it might just weigh him down enough to make him immobile.]
no subject
Well, I'm not using 'em for anything else, so...
[He just. Dumps them all in a heap upon Louis' back. rest in fucking pieces.]
Is it really that cold in here?
no subject
Well, it's pretty cold for me. Gators are reptiles--we're cold-blooded. That means we can't really do nothin' unless it gets warmer. Back where I lived, it was always pretty warm...so there were tons of gators everywhere. But here? I can barely move above a crawl.
[hello pinocchio welcome to gator facts 101]
no subject
Wow... I've never met a reptile before. I think. I guess it gets pretty cold where I live, though, so maybe they just aren't around that much.
[oh boy! his favorite class!]
no subject
[he doesn't know where this small child is from]
You want any more reptile facts? Or do you wanna try clampin' my mouth shut?
no subject
[he's learning that Many Places are in America, apparently.
and he's still a bit apprehensive but--]
As long as you're sure it's okay...
[He sorta crouches down to be on the same level as the flattened gator, uncertainly leaning forward and placing both hands on top of his... snout? He doesn't quite lean his full weight onto his arms, though, not sure how easy it actually is.]
no subject
[Even just a little bit of weight clamps Louis's jaw shut. He pushes against Pinocchio, but his mouth only opens about a centimeter or so. Louis sort of lies there for a moment, immobile, before tapping the ground with one of his claws. Not like he can say anything in this state.]
no subject
okay, so maybe Louis isn't the invincible killing machine he'd hoped for. huh.
he slowly leans back onto his heels, lifting his hands back up. free the gator]
...Maybe they are tryin' to make us easier to kill.
